Price was right, but I could not even finish my first metal roof without one becoming so sloppy it won't cut, and a second one is starting to get sloppy/loose. They are great beginner tools - but they will not hold up to constant use - they are too cheaply made.

Great set of snips! 3 snips included in this set; a right, a left and a center cut snip. I was very happy with the durability of this set. All of these are great when it comes to working with metal. The springs open and close nice and smoothly. They are very comfortable to hold in my hand because of the comfortable hand grips. They function very nicely.

I got these to use in my garage in situations where I need something more substantial than a pair of scissors. I know they're tin snips, but I've found them useful for pruning, cutting off screws, and cutting through thick gauge wire. I do a lot of work on car audio installs and cutting through 4 gauge copper wire is a real pain without proper equipment. While this may not be the intended use case for these shears, they still do very well with it. So far, they've held up well to lots of use and abuse, and I would recommend them!

Not really a whole lot to say about this set of snips except that they work really well. I can't say how long they will last since I don't do a whole bunch of cutting but what I did today for testing them out, they all performed flawlessly. The set comes with a left cutting, right cutting and a straight cutting tool. They all have good springs that open the cutters easily...no sticking....smooth operation of the handles. The blades appear to have micro serrations so that the material being cut doesn't slide out of the jaws while trying to cut. The handles are comfortable to grip and don't slide out of my hands. The grip locks work good and don't keep swinging back in the way while using. The overall fit and finish of the tools feels good and very durable. I'm sure they will last a long time with my limited use. I'm not sure how they would hold up for a professional that relies on them daily but they feel like they could handle the work load. I'd recommend giving them a try if you need some good quality metal snips.

I’ve had a pair of straight-cutting aviation snips for years. However, those snips have understandably not worked well for cutting curved paths. So I jumped at this chance to get a set that includes left-cutting and right-cutting snips as well.As I initially looked at workmanship and design of these aviation snips — see the relevant attached photo — I sensed high-quality. However, as a very old saying goes, “The proof of the pudding is in the eating.” My “eating” consisted of using the left-cutting pair of snips in this set to cut some medium-size-radius and relatively-small-radius curves at the corners of a rectangular piece of 1 mm thick steel sheet. See the second photograph. I observed the following:• The serrated edges of the snips grabbed the metal aggressively.• The snips cut the metal aggressively with little effort.• The cuts left hardly any burring. Nice clean cuts.So far, I’m very pleased with these aviation snips and see no reason to rate them with any less than five stars.

I have used tin snips on home projects for 40+ years & then I recieved this package with three (3) pair of snips. I immediately noticed that two (2) of the snips did not look anything like what I have been using especially over the last two months cutting galvanized metal roof panels. I have been challenged with difficult cuts as well as blistered hands. Then came the research: there are straight cut, straight long blade & “offset”. Took my new offset shears outside and used the left & right offset snips to cut through 24” wide panel with profile in under two minutes where it was taking me at least 10 minutes to cut using left & right straight snips & then tooling the metal to take out the sharp burrs and return the sheet back to a smooth profile.These shears are sharp and made of heavy metal with compound pressure from the grips. I really like these snips. they will be a time saver.
