Do not buy this. This is described as "heavy duty" but the cover was bent in a curve, making the outside clear sleeves unusable. I went to return it due to this damage, but it is un-returnable. I would definitely not recommend making this purchase. Just a binder, but I now have to toss it, and buy another.

Avery makes the best binders, sturdy and high quality. The locking mechanism for the rings is easy to open and close so you don't have to pull on the rings to get it open or worry about pinching a finger trying to close it. Since it's for my school-age child, safety is important. In addition, the clear view cover allow for a place to easily see the class schedule as well as customizing the look later with art. This size is perfect for middle schoolers through college since it has enough room for multiple subjects. Other binders have only made it halfway through the school year at best, but the Avery brand binders last the entire school year. Might need some duct tape the last month, but it makes it!

The binder is not heavy duty as it states. I was disappointed when I put my papers in the binder the first time and the ring was not aligned anymore.
