These are top notch binders. They lay flat with the binder located on the back panel and the spine folds around the rings. Makes it great for sheet music. The rings are s shaped tips instead of pinned to keep them aligned so if you bend them they won’t hold the sheets anymore. Really okay as long as you don’t damage them. The colors are great and make for cute folios. They have a front and back pocket for title pages.

This binder has the two main features I like in a binder, D-rings and one-hand operation to open the rings. In addition there is clear plastic on the front/back/binding (outside), and two levels of plastic on the inside. The plastic allows you to put custom identifying labels (on the outside), and store extra loose sheets of paper (on the inside). My experience is that on the inside, the pockets can only store a few sheets of paper before it gets a bit snug, but that's ok. Only time will tell how well these binders wear, but features/functionality has everything I look for!

Avery 2” slant-ring heavy duty binders are a good and durable quality. None of the four I received in the set came with Avery labeling / stickers on the outside of the binders (as shown in the listing photos) but it does have the Avery logo stamped on the inside cover. Just seemed a bit odd not to have the labeling when they are supposed to be new.The binder covers are thick and not prone to bending when the binders are full and standing upright. The colors are bright and distinct: pink, purple, blue, and teal green. The outside has a clear lining to insert a cover page and spine label, but I noticed at the bottom edge, spaced evenly about every inch, are little pin holes. Not sure why that would be? Again, seems odd.The opening mechanism inside is smooth and the rings close properly and well-aligned every time. Inside on both covers are double pockets to store loose papers. The front cover doesn’t evenly align with the back cover when closed… unsure whether that’s how all slant-ring binders are but it seems as though the front cover should be 1/4” wider. These are fairly minor details and the binders function as they should. However, overall the quality seems slightly off from first rate.————————————-Here is how I rate items:5 Stars = Exceeds all expectations in terms of functionality, aesthetic, and value; highly recommend and I would order this item again without hesitation!4 Stars = Great item and value; I recommend.3 Stars = It works and functions but not exactly as advertised or it may not be the best value based on the product quality.2 Stars = Might be acceptable for some purchasers but it didn’t appeal to or work for me and I wouldn’t order again.1 Star = Absolutely would not recommend or order this item again.

The D-ring mechanism for these binders works great. You truly can operate it one-handed and the tab has a grip on it to make it easier to use and more comfortable. You can also open and close it by grabbing the rings directly, without resistance from the tab mechanism or feeling like you're going to break it.The great rings are the only reason for the 4 stars, because the plastic/cardboard portions are not great at all. The cardboard on the inside is fairly flimsy, and the plastic binding tears way easier than it should. Also, the front and back have the clear plastic to slide in cover sheets, but the top portion is so loose that it bows out and will definitely end up getting caught on other things and torn. For me, the ring makes it worth it to use tape and reinforce the binding so I can still use these without damage. But for the price, it should be more heavy-duty.

I ordered the 4 pack, 1.5" version. I am happy with the overall construction of the binders as they seem durable. I prefer the slant ring design over circular types as it is easier to turn pages as well as add pages to the slant style. The one touch open / close button worked without strain even when I had a binder over halfway filled will paper. At time of review this 4 pack was priced just under $21, which seems on par for this brand name and size in a slant ring binder - so I’m okay with the value here.

My binders did not come with the Avery label/cover paper as shown in the listing photos, but they were stamped with the Avery logo. The quality seems comparable to other Avery binders I have, but based on my past experience that packaging was odd and could indicate a false listing.Overall, I'm happy with the binders. I love the colors! We are using them to organize homeschool curriculum by subject. The different colors make it easy to grab the one I need quickly. The D ring shape helps keep papers in place better than previous fully round designs. The binders feel durable enough to last through a full school year of frequent use.

The binders are very thin and cheaply made. I like the colors, but they are supposed to be Heavy Duty. They are far from that, I don't think they are worth almost ten dollars a piece. I have purchased other binders that are well made and would last a long time. I don't think are going to be good for the long haul.

Avery has always been my go-to for 3-ring binders, and I love that they have more color options now than just the black/red/navy blue I grew up with. Be aware that you might receive different colors than what's pictured -- instead of the lavender, I got a soft lemony yellow one (which I actually liked better, so no complaint). The slant (or "D") rings are so much easier to use and turn pages with, and the high-quality construction means they'll last. I also love being able to slip in a cover sheet on the front and/or a strip of paper in the spine to easily identify what's inside. All in all, if you need a good set of durable 3-ring binders, can't go wrong with these.
