This monopod works great to hold my DSLR and even 600mm lens for stability. I bought it for its compacted length...it fits in a carryon suitcase (with the head tilted), but at full length gets my camera comfortably to my eyelevel. Clamps are secure. Handles well.

I have been looking for replacement for my old Heavy duty Monostat pole that finally wore out. I’ve made the mistake of going cheap 3x for “heavy duty” poles that ended up being too weak to support my camera and long (heavy) lens. I finally spotted this one and took one more chance. It is superbly made of carbon fiber material, does not wobble when fully extended, opens and closes easily, stays extended with the pressure levers (which can be adjusted for maximum weight bearing). Very pleased and it will be put to work tomorrow shooting a swim meet. Well worth the price.

Well made. Sturdy enough to use as a walking stick with the camera attached, (for a smaller camera). I used it with a Sony RX100 VII and it was ideal for hiking/taking quick photos. It’s easy to adjust and includes a carrying bag. I like it and think it’s a good product for the price.

This unit feels and looks like a well built monopod and I am quite pleased with it. My older monopods were too long when collapsed to be practical for travel, or too flimsy to support the big 200-500 telephoto lens. This one is a great size and feels solid in use even fully extended. Being a little over 6' that happens a lot.

Excelente calidad. El producto superó mis expectativas. Vale lo que cuesta, no es económico pero la calidad es muy buena. Lo utilizaré para un largo viaje fotográfico, creo que me será muy útil.

Love how sturdy it is and light… it holds very well with my Nikon D850 with a tele 70-200mm lens on it, it doesn’t slip down like some other monopods I’ve tried, because sometimes they’re not tight enough to hold the weight of bigger cameras… but if it does start to loosen it does comes with a nice little tighter key to get them tighter if they ever do come loose… to folds down to a nice small compact fit when I hook it onto my backpack. Great tool to have.

Pros:Beautiful fit and finish and it is quite sturdy and includes a set of tools for tighting up the clamps. The product has two differt feet for use on hard or soft surfaces.Cons:The monopod/hiking stick comes with two feet one for hard surfaces and one for soft. As you can see in my attached picture the hard spike is missing the o-ring that the rubber foot comes with. I lost the spike on my very first hike. The vendor was very responsive in replacing the unit, but I think that missing O-ring on the spike is why I lost the foot the first time. There is no cap for the threaded mounting screw on the top of the monopod, so I had to use the one from my old monopod. It is good that the tools are included, as the clamps did require adjustment to prevent them from slipping.Considering the cost of this monopod I think that the product needs to be imporved by including an o-ring on the spike as well as some spare o-rings and a threded cap to cover the mounting screw when the monopod is used as a walking stick.

This is an Initial Review, on the Avella C325 Carbon Fiber 58 Inch Camera Monopod. I will update the review once I get some field use out of it.After a few hours of research and wanting to keep my budget reasonable, I ordered this Monopod for shooting my kids graduation ceremony. I figured using a Monopod is much easier to stabilize my heavy DSLR (Canon 5D MKIII + Grip + Battery Packs + L Series 24-105 f/4 lens) weighing close to 5lbs. With the camera mounted on it, I found the camera and overall stability of the whole thing very firm and stable. This Monopod can definitely handle some additional weight, maybe a heavier lens or even an adjustable Ball or multi-axis-style monopod/tripod Head.I have used several pro-grade brands of Monopods and Tripods and I have to say this is a SOLID Monopod. The build quality is right up there with top tier Professional brands. The packaging is great and I especially like design of the pouch with thick string straps for carrying it over the shoulder and general storage of the monopod. The product itself is very lightweight and all components and tension clips on it are heavy quality and provide plenty of adjustable pressure (adjustable via the provided butterfly wrench provided). The tips of the Monopod are exchangeable between a soft rubber tip for hard surfaces and a metal spike tip for soft soil/grass type surfaces. It’s a standard 3/8” mount which makes it easy to get legs or other accessories mounted to it.The strap is a perfect width and connects to the Monopod with a very solid and rotatable plastic retention clip/ring.... And yes, the strap is removable!Best of all, I use a messenger bag for my DSLR, Lenses and accessories... This Monopod & Case fits perfectly inside it! If you use a DSLR backpack, this should fit perfectly on the side pouches where water bottles go normally.I highly recommend this product... Great design and build Avella team! The only recommendation I have for future improvement/models is to add a plastic cap to cover the mounting screw at the top of the monopod for when users are using it as a walking stick on their hikes. I believe some of the Manfrotto monopods have these which are great.
