I have an old Generac generator that we use when we have power failures or other things happen and try to remember to start it every month or two to keep the gas clean and make sure everything is going well. The last few times, it is really slow to start and pulling the thing to start is a nightmare since it is so big! Instead of replacing the battery pack, I decided to spring for this for just a little more. The generator has the connections to jump start right near the push button, so it is a breeze to hook up and it cranks way better than the battery pack that I bought a couple of years ago ever did!I am looking forward to having this to be able to jump all of my devices that have starters as well as for backup power in case we need it. It seems to have great safety features, after cranking for a while (since I turned the choke the wrong way) it shut off the start ability for just a second. I let off the button on the generator and the pack reset itself and was ready to crank again in about a second and a half.I love that it has a case that is big enough to keep all the parts in, I have a habit of collecting random cords in boxes, so my life is miserable when I need to find stuff sometimes.I hope it holds up to use and storage, just remember to charge it as soon as you get it, it showed four out of four bars, but when I plugged it it, it charged for a couple of hours while blinking the last light.I hesitated to buy this, thinking I wasn't sure of the technology or if it would have the power of a regular generator battery but it has won me over in a big way!Edit: I was using it to charge something a few weeks ago and it completely locked up. I let it sit for a few hours and it still didn't work on either the USB ports or the battery terminals. The terminals would start but would click and act like there was a short circuit within a few seconds, only allowing use for a very short time. I contacted the seller, they got right back to me, but I had left for a trip. When I got back home, I tried it and it worked perfectly. Apparently, it needed a bit more time to reset! I appreciate the quick response from the seller and I have now used it to charge a camera, a phone (multiple times) and jumpstart a truck without any hiccups at all. I still think it is a great product - just the right size and weight to be in my truck all the time. I don't have any hesitation recommending this for anyone since I know the seller backs it up with fast support response and stands behind their products.

Second UPDATE; I never had to use the "force start" function because my battery never got low enough. According to the manufacturer the NEW FORCE START FUNCTION is used when the battery voltage is less than 2.0vdc. I.e. Very Dead...UPDATE; The manufacturer reached out to me after my original Report below. They supplied me a free updated version to test. I tested it on my V-6 Toyota Rav4. The A58 jump starter came with 4 blue lights lite - so I tested it as received. (It was probably not fully charged.) It worked perfectly on 3 levels of car battery discharge that would not start my Toyota unassisted. It worked flawlessly even with a fully discharged battery (5.3volts) that would not even turn on my ignition lights! I actually started my V-6 five different times on the original as received charge and the last test was with only 2 bars charge level. I hook up the improved A58 and after a few seconds my battery voltage was high enough to light up the ignition lights and then start the car. I never had to use the red "force start" button on the side of the cable control unit. My Toyota would not let the battery discharge enough to even require me to use the red force start button. Even with a battery so low that it would not turn on any ignition lights with the switch on and would not even make an attempt to turn over unassisted, the A58 started the engine within a few seconds simply by connecting the A58. So I cannot comment on the force start function. You could also run your laptop or other high amperage 12vdc device for hours using the included 10 amp (120watt) cigarette-lighter style outlet. Very handy in a power outage if you buy a 100watt- 12vdc to 120vac inverter (under $20) to match. Comes with Type C charge cable -you supply the USB 5.0v power outlet from car or your own wall charger brick. The battery alligator clips spread 24” apart which means they will work on most boat battery set ups too.PROS: Long battery clip Leads =24” spread, Sturdy large alligator clips, Rugged battery enclosure, QC 3.0 USB + 2.0USB power supply ports both which worked. Basic LED flashlight with strobe & SOS functions. Status indicator lights on Cable unit tell you if its ready to jump start. Nice Hard Storage Case included . Plenty of capacity for even a large V-8. Bargain priced at $90.CONS: none that I see. This is a keeper!ORIGINAL & OUTDATED REVIEW: The complaint others have noted that it does not or may not work was true for me. THE PROBLEM MAYBE THE BLUE CHARGE LEVEL INDICATOR LIGHTS. When I received the AVAPOW Car Jump Starter, 4000A Peak 27800mAh Battery, it showed 4 bar lights out of 4 lighted. I thought this meant a full charge and i tried to start my toyota 3.5L V-6 gas engine with a dead battery (9.6volts). First I wanted to see how long the green "ready to start light" would stay on. The green ready to start light came on, and stayed on for about 45 seconds. Much longer than the 2-3 seconds that others had noted. So I thought great- and so I tried to start my engine. I disconnected the charger from the battery to reset the control, and got the green light again. When I tried to start the engine the charger indicator immediately went to red and did not even try to start the engine! Tried this a couple of more times. NO LUCK. The blue indicator bars on the charger still still showed 4 out of 4 bars. Then I decided to charge the went to charger from my USB wall charger. My wall charger supplied about 2 amps at a nominal 5 volts for about 45 minutes. The jump starter immediately started my medium sized gas engine. The jumber started still showed full charge. What this meant to me is that YOU CAN NOT COUNT ON THE JUMP STARTER'S CHARGLE LEVEL INDICATOR LIGHTS TO SHOW YOU THE START OF CHARGE OR READYNESS TO USE. Which makes this a non-keeper for me.One minior night-pick is that advertisement says two USB output ports are 3.0 rated. In fact only one of the two is 3.0 rated and has the corresponding blue color insulator. I Loved the extra large capacity of this unit but need to know if it is ready to use! Having indicator lights saying all is good with charge level when it is not is worse than no charge level indicator at all. I suspect that most of the user problems stem from a bad charge level indicator!
