I bought the 3 - DC package to add to the 3-DW I previously bought - the previous unit worked as it should and I wanted more receivers and a back door transmitter that would pair with the first unit - I read that all the Avantek units were compatible so expected either transmitter to ring thru all the receivers - did not happen - each transmitter only activates the receivers that originally came with it. Not what I wanted and would not have bought if I knew were not compatible.Unhappy with the purchase even though as a stand alone, works as advertised.

Great so far. Gave it 4 stars because there is no back light until pressed Difficult to locate in the dark.

This doorbell is so easy to install, it only took me about half an hour and it is Perfect. Multiple people can connect to the app at the same time and view the feed remotely. It's ding dong sounds are loud enough for the family to hear no matter where in the house they are. You can talk to the people outside from the app wherever you are and you can also set an automated response to speak out when there is a person detected outside.

I needed a doorbell that I could use in my TK class to help transition between activities. The bell is loud and easy to hear with a classroom full of 24, 4-5 year old students. When I press the bell, the kiddos know it is time to put their hands on their head and wait for instructions. I know this isn't the standard use for a doorbell but it is a lifesaver in the classroom. I'm not very far and there aren't any obstructions so I can't comment on distance for normal use. I hope this lasts a few years and I'm only disappointed I didn't get one sooner.

Our door bell’s that we had did not have enough range. These new ones have much better range plus real simple to pair and install. One receiver is in the living room and one is in the bedroom at the rear of the house. Recommend them plus the cost did not break the bank. Very nice product.

The name of this product really is the perfect description. I'm renting a home and it is 1300 sq ft in a really odd split level. Because of that WiFi in my home almost has to have 2 extenders. Because of that I was a little troubled thinking this was not going to work well. I was very wrong.First of all, and I mean this with all sincerity, RTFM! It's crucial you do so to pair the actual outside door with the inside chimes. After that, you simply need to place the chimes, choose one of the 52 melodies and set your volume. There is only 4 volume levels and then it is silent. It does have a flashing ring on the chime to give a notification should you choose the silent option. I would also warn that the indoor chime is a good sized piece. When connecting it in any double outlet I advise to use the bottom one if they are vertical. I'll additionally say you may end up just cutting into the room for a grounded plug above it. So choose wisely. Last thing about the chimes. Again, patiently consider your placement. Even on the lowest volume setting these units are pretty loud. If there is a chance it's going to disturb someone or thing. Just don't put it in that area.Now as for the outdoor button. You have options to screw it in or place it with two way tape. Again, I'm renting so I taped it to the front door. Be fore you try to affix it to the door. Take a few minutes to clean the area with alcohol or something that will remove all the dirt, grime and residue. Please give it plenty of time to dry. Then, attach it to your location. If it is textured. I would not use it.Other than a very minor issue I had finding places for the chimes and getting it to stay on the door. I love this system and am absolutely ecstatic that I got it to replace the dying one we have.
