We had a bottom-loading water cooler prior to this one and wouldn't go back. I don't know why they are seen as "higher end" because other than the slight aesthetics of the water tank being hidden, they are inferior IMO - more working parts and significantly more work to refill. This is easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy - just plonk the new water container on top and you're done. The other plus is that you can always see how much water you have left.So less expensive, and a better experience - what's not to love?!This model is super quiet, and the tap mechanisms are silky-smooth. So nice having refreshing cold water as summer approaches.

Depuis que j'ai acheter cette fontaine elle va à merveille, simple a remplir les bouteilles ou autres itemes, l'eau est toujours fraiche . Silencieu!! Je recomande fortement. !!!

Bought this in May of 2023 for use at a small office. It's now April of 2024 and the unit leaked out all over the carpet at work and now we have water stains and an unusable water cooler. I checked it to make sure it wasn't a faulty tank of water, and it is not. When it was working it did a great job of keeping the water cold or hot, but to have it less than a year and to have it leaking is unacceptable to me.My office only has 5 people using this unit and we're not all big water drinkers so it was surprising to see this have an issue so quickly. Unfortunately this item only carries a 30 day warranty so it seems I'm out of luck. It's a shame because the build quality seemed sturdy, but if it can't do it's one job of containing water until ready to drink, there's no reason to purchase from this company again.

At first I was going to go all out and buy a bottom loading, high dollar water cooler, but some of the bad reviews and problems people experienced scared me. So I chose to go with a basic and functional design. I didn't want digital touch buttons that could fail or a pump system that might leak.I chose this basic design, top loading water cooler, and I couldn't be happier. If I experience any issues, I will update this review.The noise is seriously almost non-existent. It looks great and appears to be well made. The hot water is actually hot although I did not measure the temp. The cold water is very cold too.It was a good buy.

Unfortunately I received one slightly damaged and noisey when cooling function was on. I contacted the company about said issues. In my opinion they went above and beyond to keep a happy customer. They sent me a replacement unit. I think how well they treated me speaks volumes. These are nice looking units that function well at what I would consider a very reasonable price. My previous Cascade cooler lasted almost 35 years. I don't think anything these days will match that. Still good value though.

I received a unit and it worked well, for 3 days, then , the cooler stopped working all together, I contacted customer service , they sent me a few hints, and after a few communication, they told me to return it to amazonSo they did an advance replacement, and they sent me a new one. I installed the new one , returned the old one in the box of the new one, and , in a week every thing was pretty much over, the unit makes a little bit more noise the the cooler I had before , but, nothing too alarming, I use it with a Santevia water purifier on top, and Santevia has a video telling you how to adapt the cooler for it . great result at the end, the water heater work very well as well. its nice to be able to put it on and off when you need it . So over all, if you include the good customer's service from both Avalon and Amazon , I am satisfied since at the end , the story is a happy one,

We needed to replace our old watercooler that died last year. Having a functioning cooler with both hot and cold dispensing is critical at our office! Did some research and eventually went with this Avalon model as it had good reviews. It was delivered in October 2018. Not much to getting it up and running – quite easy, actually. It's been used heavily on a daily basis and works quite well.Fast forward and it's now August 2019. A problem developed: the cold water tap began leaking! Jiggling the spigot did not help. Researching the issue didn't lead to much. We were faced with an unnecessary expense of replacing the nearly brand new cooler way too soon.Finally, I went ahead and emailed Avalon's support, not expecting much. However, I was pleasantly surprised to have received a very prompt reply from the Avalon Customer Support rep, Karissa J. She identified the potential issue(s) and sent me multiple support web links with videos and "how-to's" to try and solve the problem myself.The leading culprit was likely to be some kind of debris in the line or spigot, causing the leak. A fairly common issue with ALL coolers, from what I've just learned. Unfortunately, I was initially not able to clear it myself. Karissa corresponded with me a number of times to try and resolve the problem quickly. Ultimately, a new spigot replacement (under warranty) was sent to us.Installing the new spigot was fairly straightforward. The "how-to" videos were enormously helpful with that process. And yes, the issue is now resolved! A new bottle was placed on the unit and NO leak! The cooler is back in business and we're all happy again.Overall, this cooler is perfect for us, as we go through many bottles of water a month. Whether hot or cold, it's done the job well. Even though we did have a leaking spigot, the Avalon Customer Service was Excellent! Have to thank Karissa again for going above and beyond in helping us resolve the problem quickly.

I go through a ton of water in a day, and am not a huge fan of tap water, which means about 10 jugs of water at a time sitting around my house. Which also leads to the problem of making sure I have water jugs in the fridge so they are cold, which has not always happened, hence the reason I decided to try out the Avalon Hot/Cold Top Loading Water Cooler!! I have been wanting a water cooler for a while now and finally decided to go ahead and get one.These take 3 or 5 gallon jugs which sit on the machine perfectly, and of course the water lasts a lot longer than gallon jugs. When the item arrives, you are pretty much ready to use it, place your water jug on the top, let the water bubble out and fill the tank, plug the cooler in and turn on the switch. The first time I used this, I went back an hour later to test the water, and it was VERY cold, love it! To get the water itself out, all you need to do is place the cup against the tab and the water comes right out, so easy to do, and can be done one handed.There is also a hot water dispenser on this cooler but I have not tried it out yet.. If you decide you want to use the hot water, there is a separate switch on the back to turn on for just hot water.If you would like to mount the water cooler, it does come with hardware for you to do this. I did not use it, I just placed the water cooler in a cooler in my kitchen.I will say I was not a huge fan of the shipping and packaging, and did need to order a replacement, but it was sent out in a few days. I would recommend more protection during shipment. However, I am rating the product in this review, not shipment.Overall, I am VERY happy with this product. It works very well, gives me cold water, saves room, and is very easy to use.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion
