Got this to troubleshoot issues on my vehicles after seeing the mechanics using them. This has a big advantage over the regular type because it also shows the voltage of the device. The accuracy was so close to that of a fancy meter that an electrician was using on my truck that I didn't even bother using the fancy meter when testing the battery.

Surprised by how I liked the probe. Easier to use with light indicator vs regular large voltmeter on testing connections. Very glad it had voltage reading. Used to connect car radio FM signal amplifier to new car radio. I needed to find the 12 volt wire and probed each small wire socket. I was surprised that some of the sockets had 6 volts of power but only one had 12 volts. I would have connected the wrong wire if it was a light only without voltage reading. I also liked the stronger bigger clamp and probe needle protective cover for storage. The tip is very pointed. Additional tip for DYI work, couldn't initially find Negative ground on car. Not everything metal connected to Negative part of battery. Realized the antenna plug connected to ground/Negative of car, so connect to it with the clamp end while probing for Positive 12 volt wire. It explains why the small FM amplifier only needs to connect the red wire for power. Good price since cost around $10, a little more than plain older light electrcal probes without volt reading. But also half price of other ones. Nice when you're on a budget. Tip of probe was slightly bent. Not sure if it's supposed to be that way. But helpful when you have to test small sockets at an angle while wire still in socket.
