As a frequent traveler, having a neighbor or friend drop by to feed my fish tank is always part of my travel plans - at least, it was until last month when I got this feeder. To be honest, it is overkill in capacity for my 30 gallon freshwater tank. But the ease of setting up timing for two feedings a day made it a perfect fit for my needs. I find that even when i am home, i just let it continue feeding the tank so it is one less thing for me to do - makes having the tank just enjoyable rather than a responsibility. The biggest issue I ran into with setup was choosing the right amount of food for each feeding so that I didn't have extra in the tank to cloud the water. Once I got the amount right for two smaller feedings a day, I've seen no issues with extra food ending up on the bottom of the tank. The fact it runs on a very long life rechargeable battery eliminates the last worry I had with relying on a feeder, since I live in an area where there are power outages in storm seasons. Setting up the timers is pretty straightforward, as is setting the feeding amounts. Downsides? Very few. Initial battery charge time is longer than expected. It does NOT work well with flake food (got stuck a couple of times), but great with pellets for my cichlids. Overall, I highly recommend it, particularly for those without someone to drop by and handle feedings.

Item: AWUAWU Automatic Fish Feeder for Indoor AquariumThis fish feeder by Awuawu came nicely packaged and was easy to assemble. Attempted to charge the battery but wasn't having any luck. Disassembled the battery compartment and moved the internal battery around, then battery started charging. I am suspecting a poor wiring connection to the battery or BMS. Found battery fully discharged ( screen wouldn't turn on ) and allowed it to fully charge before operating. It was difficult to tell the state of charge as the battery level display never "filled up". Also, micro usb in 2025.... come on. Time/s, feeding amount and attaching the feeder to the tank was easy and explained well enough in the manual. After all that trouble shooting and filling it up with pellets for our 25 gallon tank with shrimp, snails, guppies and tetras. The food spilled out the feeding door like a sieve... I even tried to have the auger work in on an uphill to the feeding door to avoid this to no avail. Also on the lowest feeding level with the pellets I am using, it SEVERELY over feeds.Overall, after all the trouble shooting with the battery, getting it charged, micro usb and abysmal feeding performance. I really can't recommend this product to anyone.

If you want a HUGE food capacity (of 16.9oz = 2.1 cups) fish feeder, then this is for you!It has, of course, a programmable schedule for multiple feedings AND you can adjust the amount of food for each feeding! The display is an easy-to-read LCD and is simple to program. You pick the day, number of feedings and dispensed amount for that feeding.The unit comes with a substantial rechargeable 1400mAh battery (stored in the battery compartment). If you are concerned that it might run out of power, you can always keep the unit plugged into USB-C power.The mechanism used to dispense food is a spiral that turns, pushing out the food. It works great for small/medium pellets, but I am not sure how well it will work with flake food. The mechanism seems to work reliably well.The unit seems qell-made and durable. It also keeps the food dry. I recommend this unit for those wanting a feeder that can hold a large amount of fish food. It could be automatically feeding your fish for weeks at a time, and its flexibility in feeding schedule and amount dispensed is top-notch!

A very delicate automatic feeding product, which can be set to feed automatically at a fixed time and fixed quantity. It feels very considerate. You don't have to worry about the fish eating when traveling.This AWAWU indoor aquarium automatic fish feeder is cleverly designed and easy to operate. You can accurately set the feeding time and amount of food to ensure that the fish eat regularly. The appearance is simple and does not take up space. The material is safe and reliable, durable and odorless. The food bin has a large capacity, which is enough for a business trip of 10 days and a half. The automatic fish feeder is suitable for lazy fish farming like me. The timing function is sensitive and easy to install. You can feed regularly, manually, or specify multiple times every day. It is very convenient and really saves me a lot of trouble! It uses USB power supply to avoid running out of power due to forgetting to charge when away from home for a long time.

I have a large Tilapia tank and they eat a lot, so I was looking for an automatic fish feeder that would hold a lot of food so I could go away for a long weekend. This automatic fish feeder does the trick. Its tank is big, holding more than other feeders I have had, 500ml is great. The screw drive mechanism is strong and sure. It has not failed and my fish are unlikely to be stranded thanks to this design. The electronic controller is versatile with lots of schedule options, as well as food drop size control. The big display makes it easy to set the parameters I want. It has a rechargeable battery and this is super handy and a cost saver. With the price of batteries, it is always discouraging to have keep going through them and disposing of them at the recycling center. The built-in lithium battery holds a charge that lasts a long time, at least a month. I have not had any issue with running out of juice and recharging it is easy with a standard micro-USB cord and USB power adapter. This is becoming pretty universal, so they are always available. I don’t need to keep track of a special charging cord. I am very happy with this automatic fish food feeder and I definitely recommend it.
