Chaos and works perfectly. Simple design looks like it should last a while. Battery back up and wall outlet is nice so I don’t have to worry about my cat not getting fed. My cat has finally stopped assaulting me in the morning trying to get me to feed her.

This one you need to plug into the wall which may be a pro or a con. It can use battery backup if the power goes out, you need 6 c or d batteries which is very inconvenient and also why? What is consuming so much power and why aren't they using rechargeable internal lithium batteries?? It was easy to set up, took about 20 minutes to put in food and set up the timers. These kinds of feeders are great for cats who have zero portion control. One downside is that the instructions don't tell you how much one "portion" is, it would be nice to also get about how many portions one cat should have in a day based off of weight to be able to reference while you're setting it up. I would recommend once at dawn and once at sunset due to their natural hunting instincts around those times, you could also keep the schedule you were already doing. One star I took off is because it doesn't have a flat bottom for some reason. Its totally top heavy and a smart cat can knock it over to get the food. Extremely easy to tilt and knock over even when full of food.Another star I took off is because it's so flimsy that you can't secure the pieces together properly. I brought it over to the feeding area and it all fell apart. It says don't lift it by the lid, and that is correct because the lid and the food container don't lock together. It did dispense food when it was time, the food amount in the picture is 3 "portions" for reference. I use hills science diet which are pretty large kibbles that didn't get stuck.
