As long as you don't harm the temperature sending unit, the head unit will last through nearly any type of abuse. The liquid filled face prevents needle vibrations at all speeds. The larger size make "reference" reading very easy at a glance.The matching boost unit is great too for the same reasons.No electronics to break.
