I bought this as a supplement to my stock coolant temperature gauge (a dummy gauge) after having some overheating issues to deal with. Installation of this gauge with the probe attached by the flexible pipe can be irritating, but once it’s all hooked up, this gauge is just awesome! With this gauge, I have seen how my coolant temperature rises and falls as I drive and idle at stop lights, all the while my stock temperature gauge just sits in the middle of the range. My overheating issues are resolved and having this gauge, with its clear, precise temperature indicator comforts me that my car is running just fine. This gauge looks really nice mounted in my cabin and I like the fact that, since it’s mechanical, it shows the coolant temperature at all times regardless of if the car is on or not.

Everything is great for most part, accuracy, simplicity, great contrast. Only issue I've noticed if you get wet weather condition, it builds up condensation from inside and is no longer readable.

I dunno If I just received a bad gauge or what. But it hazes up when the temp starts to rise Auto meter is usually better product

The gauge I received is functional, but the housing was damaged (flat spot about 1cm wide on the outer ring).The sensor wire - big, heavy thing that you run from the gauge to the engine compartment, and pipe into your radiator hose - cannot be disconnected from the gauge without damaging them. Thus, if you need to temporarily remove the gauge, your options are to disconnect the sensor from your radiator hose and snake it back through the firewall, or cut the line at the back of the gauge and solder it back together later in hopes that the solder won't affect resistance on the line (it will) and thus the gauge accuracy (it did).Pretty poor design decision, which led to me buying a replacement from a different manufacturer.Other than that, it works fine.
