First, this is NOT a complaint against the vendor who I bought them from, they just sent the product. This review is about the product itself, what the ad says it fits, and what is reality. Well the paint on them on arrival is good, easy to install as my last set about two decades ago, but these don't cover the truck bed stake pocket holes completely. See the last two pictures, this is the front and rear install from one side of the truck, but both sides are like this. Now these adjust to go on several models evidently, and it shows they fit my truck, and they do, they just don't cover the holes as can be seen. Now most people won't notice, but I'd feel a LOT better if they added 1/2 inch more to the bar and these would cover just fine on the longest adjustment at each end. It makes me sick to order these, open them, adjust, then try and make them work. They will suffice for now, as they do function, but these don't have the confidence factor I had in my original set I got almost 20 years ago. Quality seems to be an area these days on products and these just missed the design needed 'by this much'. They do look good on the truck, as did the old ones before they got scraped up and dull. They say to wax them after installed to help protect the finish, I will, but I am a car guy and I know some of my friends will see that gap, and rag me on it. I did take the mount off one end, and I made a pattern of it. I will pay somebody to make me new plates that I can use to cover the holes completely. But it will take time and money to get that done. Where the two slotted holes are on the mount that are elongated for fit, that area is countersunk to fit in the bar end. I am glad it came with pads under the end mounts, but these bars may be good for about 300-500 pound pressure after looking at the thickness of the metal on the bars themselves. But that works for my needs as I usually just use them for roping across the cargo loags. If you have a early 2000 long bed, if you can find another set for a little more, you may want to do that. If the gaps you see here are acceptable, then these could work for you at a decent cost. Other bars out there are priced extremely expensive for what you get, so research well. My truck is a 2001 Chev C2500HD Duramax with a long bed. Love the troublefree truck turning almost 22 now, so I will keep taking care of it and keep it looking young. Would not recommend had to modify it to make it fit and had to drill holes to my truck bed also it scratched easily and is cheap metal
