These pants were exactly what we were looking for. Our 5yr old needed black pants with belt loops and these came in quickly and fit very well! We love in the south and the pants were the perfect weight for our weather. Not too mention, you can't beat that price!

These pants are knicker length. I have a kid who's small for his age, so to get pants that fit both in length and waist size, this is the style we have to buy for him. We like the length. We also appreciate the combination of elastic, drawstring, and belt loops at the waist because our kid is super skinny. It's always a challenge getting pants that won't fall down around his knees. However, as other reviewers noted, these pants are thin. They're not thin enough that we could see his underwear, but only the knees are reinforced, so if your player slides on his thigh or hips, I don't see these lasting long, which is a bummer because they are a very reasonable price.The seller desperately needs to include an appropriate size chart - currently the only one included is intended for shirts. I bought size small. It says YOUTH S 6-8 on the tag. For reference, I measured the inseam at 15.5", the pant leg legth at 28", and the waist at 10.5" (all approximate).
