I have a confession to make; I do not use this for audio projects. This wire is such good quality that I have standardized on it for my ham radio projects. The fine strands make it flexible, and my situation always requires custom lengths so I just cut what I need.

I’ve used this wire for a couple years, and have had some corrosion issues. Today, I discovered it’s is not 12ga wire... it’s less than 12ga. It is also not Copper Wire, it is copper plated wire.This product is dog feces!!!

Great wire at a great price.This wire is great for generic electronics projects or for car audio installations. Exactly as listed, no complaints. I've worked on various projects using this wire and it has never let me down, true 12GA wire with thick insulation.

Not only is this the least expensive way to acquire good quality #12 wire (short of ripping it out of the wall). I am impressed with the myriad of uses that it has. Advertised as "speaker wire" I use it for power leads in my vehicle supplying auxiliary lights, VHF Radios and all those "fiddly bits" that you are expected to plug into cigarette lighters. I built my entire power management and distribution system for my "ham shack" using it. A little judicious surgery turns it into an instant Dipole antenna for the band of your choice. You can also fashion an emergency leash for your dog from it.

Very good value for the price. As others have stated the shielding is extremely thick. I am using this wire on an a truck that is used for farm, work, and off road, mostly for lighting. The thick shielding should provide my application's needed protection.The wire inside is strong and flexible with many small strands, as is expected in higher end wiring. No issues providing power to several lights across several feet and expect little loss over longer lengths due to the quality.Because the shielding is very thick and stiff it is challenging to tap . One improvement that could be made is for the seam to split more evenly when needing to separate the red from the black. I had a couple spots pull much more of one side than another to the point of showing bare wire.If I had seen 10 gauges wire available I would have preferred to have purchased that size. I will likely purchase from this company again.

This was a good buy for the price. I didn't measure the gauge of the wire, but its working great for what I needed. I used it to run all my interior lighting and 12v outlets in my off grid solar home.

I would say this is great wire for the price I'd say it's a light 12 ga or a heavy 14...so maybe 13 or even 12.5. Much nicer than my old 16ga. I can't say I know that it's copper or not..it's nice wire though. I wouldn't normally measure it but some stated it was short I did a hillbilly measure and I came to 120 ft ...so I'm very confident it's at least 100 ft that I ordered probably more. Would buy again.

I'm actually not using this as speaker wire but as 12v power wire. It's working great, no complaints, it's better quality than I expected, and at a great price. I'll be buying this again in the near future.
