The ZTE Velocity 2 is a solid choice for a portable Wi-Fi hotspot. It's easy to set up and offers reliable 4G connectivity with decent speeds. The battery life is good, lasting around 12 hours with moderate use, which is handy for travel or days out. The interface is simple to navigate, and the device itself feels sturdy. However, it's important to note that this is a 4G device, so don't expect 5G speeds. Also, the included AT&T SIM card might not be the best option for everyone, depending on your carrier preferences. Overall, if you need a reliable and portable 4G hotspot, the ZTE Velocity 2 is a good option.

I love this hotspot! It delivers the performance I expect from a 4G LTE device and supports external antennas, including some small ones that come with it. These antennas can make a significant difference in signal strength, often being the deciding factor between having a signal or not.The only drawback is the speed, as it offers last-generation 4G LTE speeds rather than the faster 5G. However, this is something to consider based on your needs and the technology you want to invest in. As a budget-friendly 4G LTE option, this hotspot is excellent and provides reliable performance.Overall, I highly recommend this hotspot for anyone looking for a cost-effective 4G LTE solution.

You will need your own LTE card for this to work. Once you have that, its not hard to get this going. I even was able to get this working with Visible LTE. The battery is decent, but the best part is you can buy a separate battery to swap out when needed. Case is decent.

Package was opened and when device was turned on, it was linked to someone else’s account. Nowhere in tje description did it indicate I’d be receiving a used item.

My family tends to travel quite often and although we have a mobile hot spot with our carrier, we were needing more substantial capability within our car during these long trips. A friend of mine suggested looking at a portable mobile hot spot router, and so I did some research and based on our needs, this ZTE Velocity 2 seemed like a viable option. This particular one is "UNLOCKED" - therefore, I was confident it would work with any carrier other than AT&T. My assumption was correct, as I have T-Mobile, I was able to connect. Below, I will outline the factors I considered prior to deciding this would be the best fit for my family's needs.*Design: Very compact- portable with hard case provided-Unlocked Router- Extra battery included*LCD is simple to use and read - touchscreen works properly*USB Type C chargin port*Nano-Sim can use other carriers card macro SDXC card slot*Frequency: Dual-band*Compatible with: Laptop, Gaming console, Tablet, Printer and Smartphones*Included in this package:-Hotspot device-two batteries-QC Charger w/USB Type C cable-2 external antennas-screen protector-hard case*Power source: 2 lithium batteries which are INCLUDED*Dimensions for your reference: 6"L x 4"W x 5"HAll in all, I'm pleased with the results of using this mobile hotspot. With two teenage daughters, this was a great decision. The set up was simple enough, great instructions and easy to follow. I would contend this is a great little investment. Based on its performance, I would recommend this to other consumers. Impressed. Thanks for reading my review, I hope it was informative and helpful. :)

We plan to use this hotspot kit when we travel out of the country. We dont know if it will work out of country or not but will try. The kit is easy to use and set up. The construction seems good and well made. The mobility of this hotspot is great.

The product I received was a used device. Missing one battery, and the SIM card was just thrown in the box. The SIM card was snapped out of the casing.Besides it being a used device, I have used this router for a week, so here's my feedback:- Very slim, compact and easy to carry around.- Works fine with my T-Mobile SIM card. I used my TMO SIM card from one of my spare TMO phones.- Screen shows T-Mobile 4G LTE connection.- Simple/easy menu system.- The two antennas help a little with the signal, buit are very tight to insert into the slot.- One of the antennas is challenging to insert because the plastic cover partially blocks antenna from being inserted. See attached picture. - Really annoying.- Screen menu very easy to navigate. Touch screen is very responsive.- Both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wifi is supported, but you can only enable one of them, not both.- You can use a computer web browser to attached to the router. (as opposed to using the small screen).- Has power management settings for the display screen and wifi.- No options to set any special security settings (i.e. WPA, WPA2..etc).- At most, I get a max of three out of 5 bars. But mostly stays on two bars, even when outside.- Speed test is usually 15Mbps down and 3Mbps up. Never seen anything better since using it. Maybe due to weak signal- Keeps good track of the amount of data used.- Max ten users. (10 users or 8 users + 2 guests).- Good travel case. But not really needed. A little big. Router is slim enough. Just throw it in your brief case / back pocket.- Has data roaming.Overall, I have used this router for more than a week. It's fine, nothing special. Seems to do what it is designed to. Will try to get better performance. - somehow. BTW, you can easily use your cell as a hotspot and do the same as this router.
