I used these to fill in the Center channel while I use very high end L and R speakers. The center sounded so good I had to look into them more. They are really well built on the inside, with second order crossovers and air core inductors but (of course at this price) electrolytic capacitors. Attention to detail is evident in the padding added around each speaker wire to prevent vibration during playback. and to the tiny crossover board itself also has a little anti-vibration pad glued on.I even did some speaker measurements with OmniMic. Kind of ridiculously good response from around 130Hz to 20kHz for budget speaker with useful output down to about 60Hz. I wish more people had the chance to hear speakers this neutral and clear. The frequency response is great for a small, natural sounding speaker. There's a bass bump below 500Hz and then (for a budget speaker) really flat to 20kHz. Not upturned at all. If using a HT processor, set this to small speaker with a crossover around 120-130Hz.Of course, due to size these speakers won't play very loud at all and 130Hz isn't very deep either, but if you are looking for neutral sounding small speakers, these will do great! I'm going to buy 1 more of these and a small amp to finish complementing my 5.1 HT. Where they won't do well is in outdoor or PA type of situations when you really want a speakers to play full range such as party music or in a home theater without a subwoofer and/or larger L and R that will fill in the bass.The small negatives are the mounting method relies on being able to mount a pretty sturdy single screw and the spring clip speaker terminals. It's difficult to insert the bare wire and easy to short either to the aluminum case. It's a real shame this brand is gone, they paid more attention to detail and performance than a lot of fancy megabuck speakers that are left.

got these online without seeing them,I was surprised how heavy these little speakers are.the aluminum box gives it a sharp look.they perform well as rear speakers, in my home theater setup.along with ws-100 front speakers. THX sub, and pioneer center.they are very easy to mount on the wall.I think they are the best looking speaker you can get.

Have used the Athena WS-15 speakers as left and right surround sound speakers for three months. They produce clear undistorted sounds that enhance movie watching or music listening.
