After trying a few $60 and under for helmet and cover combos I settled on this one even though no helmet cover. This is beefy and a plus for me comes in a L/XL for my brain holder. Most of the others are a medium plus pretty thin and vented. This is neither but will protect you from someone sneaking behind you (blue states) and wacking you with a scateboard while you turn around and show them the meaning of stupid games net stupid prizes, lol. Anyhow the pads are OK but a better rtrofit wouldnt hurt. The tighten knob stays put unlike others and it has a much better chin stap setup. I had to get a seperate helmet cover but that's ok. "IDOGEAR Tactical Helmet Cover with Battery Rear Pouch for Fast Helmet Size M/L & L/XL Military Paintball Hunting Shooting Gear - 500D Nylon". Works great with my PVS14, next up is comms adapter for my Walker Razor's.

I was expecting it to be one of those cheaply made helmets, but it ended up being a high quality FMA helmet. Would order again.

No complaints about this helmet. It fits well and has good padding. The rails are solid and the velcro adhesive doesn't come off (unlike other helmets). Everything looks and feels good.

very well constructed for what it is. lots of padding options, my issue with it was that i had to take out the padding because it was making the comfort too tight. As soon as i took off the padding, it was actually more comfortable and fit perfectly. Lots of attachment options for nvg, headsets, and whatever else you have. Overall, its worth it.

The internal padding the helmet comes with isn't the best, but due to how lightweight the helmet is that won't be an issue for most users. Users with night vision or other significant additional weight to attach may consider adding their own inside padding or looking elsewhere if they plan to use it for more than a couple hours at a time. The night vision mount does fit rhino mounts how it should, though there is a little wobble (this could also be caused by my rhino mount being out of spec, I haven't measured either myself). Even with the wobble in the mount the retention cables included on the helmet hold it steady and secure even with night vision mounted. The rails on the side are to spec but don't feel the most durable, and may not last over long periods of intense use with heavier items like frequently using a head cam while airsofting. The head strap feels fairly durable and is comfortable when adjusted properly. The helmet comes with none of the external velcro attached, allowing users the option of whether they want it or not. The velcro is fairly strong, but it is only held to the helmet with basic adhesives which although they will hold under regular use, may come off if you are frequently swapping what you have attached. While the helmet has its issues it will work well for most users.

By far my favorite helmet! I have owned multiple actual ops core and airsoft helmets, and this one by far beats them all! The feel, the adjustability, and the super high cut height is perfect! Ended up swapping the shroud out for a real metal one, cut some holes in it to route wires, added 4D pads, and added all of my accessories on it, and it works perfectly! If you’re deciding between getting this and a PTS or even ops core bump/carbon, Get this one instead! I like this helmet even better than my $450+ ops core carbon! If you plan on running night vision though, make sure to swap out the shroud for a metal one. This helmet fits ops core 3 hole shrouds perfectly.

Didn't fit my head at first, but you can buy better pads on here for like 15 bucks. Only took a little rearranging and fits perfect not pressure points. If you want to pay 300 plus for a perfect fit right out of the box, live your life, but for 150 total I was able to make this build. That includes ear pro cover and counterweight. After a little paint job and putting some stuff on it's perfect! Everything I put on was super affordable to so you don't have to rich to make something nice, just a little crafty!

Shell is solid, feels more rigid than a safety helmet. Could totally see this saving your dome in an ATV or scooter wreck despite not having the qualifications. Straps sinch well and don't fold into themselves, chin strap is reasonably comfortable. For the purposes a bump helmet serves; this will get the job done and if you don't got the funds for something in a higher price bracket, I'd say it's worth the purchase.Worth noting is that not all the padding and bells/whistles are installed as delivered, but it's nothing that my monkey-brain couldn't figure out with some quick observation. You may also run into some issues pairing it with a helmet cover, as many high-cut covers aren't to spec or are designed for different models without being advertised as such. I got lucky with the one I bought not being too mis-matched.Pairing it with ear-pro is a breeze. I run my muffs under the helmet instead of having them rail mounted and I find that it actually makes the assembly slightly more comfortable if anything. This requires removing some of the side padding, but everything is modular in there so you can slip your pads in/out/etc. without having to break out a screwdriver, hack saw, or welding goggles. Which in turn means that you could definitely add pads as you see fit if the ones that come with the helmet make your head sore after wearing it for a while. If you're going to buy a bump on amazon that isn't from a recognized high-speed brand, make sure it's this specific one.

I've worn plenty of helmets in my day... By far the absolute best I've ever worn in terms of comfort and durability at cost. The Halo system cinches down right to the point that it won't swim around on my head at all, but doesn't cause headaches, even with prolonged wear. I have about 20 hours in it so far, the longest at one time being just under 12 hours. No, I didn't get this for airsoft, even though that's what it's marketed for. I got this helmet for search and rescue for bump and fall protection as well as night vision mounting. So far as the NVG mounting, I would highly recommend getting a metal mount. The one provided seems very flimsy. The arc rails fit very snug to my headset mount, as well as my light mount.Padding and Halo work great together! I routed my comms wire through the inside of the helmet, and I have plenty of room between the helmet and contact surface of the pads to allow a very comfortable wear. I did, however have to extend my wire to get enough room to move my cans back.I would recommend this helmet for anyone needing bump and fall protection, as well as nvg (get a better baseplate!).

Needed a helmet for bicycling, and had used these, or something similar, while training in the service (rappel towers, that sort of thing) and thought this would be better than a regular bike helmet that is basically damaged after minor impacts.First off, heavier than I remember, I guess I am getting soft since I retired from the service. And, most peoples' heads are somewhat oval or egg shaped if viewed from above. This seems really round and pinches a bit on the forehead. Not unbearable, just snug. So, the good parts: Easily adjustable. Like I said,, tight on the forehead, but with the adjusting knob, you can get it to fit comfortably in a manner where it stays on without the straps. Oh, and the straps are much nicer than on most bike helmets, they fit nicely and hold the helmet securely. It is also very durable and thick. This will take some abuse. Also, the rails, velcro, and NVG mounts are useful. If I get ambitious I can mount a rear view mirror and a flashlight on it. The velcro could be used to mount a taillight on the back, but the way cars drive around here, I think they would use it as a target. In summary, good helmet, a little heavy, durable, and you look like an adventurer instead of a bike racer. Important on those trips to the grocery store. It says airsoft helmet, I am fairly certain this will provide "ballistic protection" from airsoft pellets.
