Everything works great for me EXCEPT wifi connection. I use Ethernet, and even with it completely plugged in I have to turn my pc off and unplug the wifi box and then plug it back in and turn my pc back on for it to finally connect EVERY. TIME. Otherwise good motherboard, just a little annoying at times.

I got the asus b850 plus after my Msi x870-p was causing weird system freezing and stuttering. This board worked perfectly out of the box with my 9800x3d. Installed all drivers easily and updated bios without any issues. Maybe I just had bad luck but I would avoid Msi if you have a 9800x3d for now.

I bought this because my previous mobo apparently fried trying to play forza 5 for some reason. This mobo works great and I love that it has the Bluetooth function although you might have to download the driver for it like I did, so don’t be disappointed if you don’t have Bluetooth at first like I was lol

A truly great and easy mobo to install. Bought asrock 650 and was no good out of box. You get what you pay for. Best part, they cost exact same. Fit well in zalmon z1 atx case. Amd is very good too. Thank you Asus!! I recommend to anyone and plan on buying again soon to update my other PC.

Love the board, easy to set up and update. I was well overdue for a new build so this board fits the bill and does everything I want it to.

Update 1/14/2025WARNING TO ALL USERS HERE!I had built a awesome custom gaming pc desktop I wanted for so long and it work fine for weeks until the latest BIOS Asus release TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI BIOS 3057 which caused my pc to start acting up weird daily to weekly until the point it's a nightmare to turn on my pc now. If you wish to hear more check my reddit post "TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI BIOS 3057" & "TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI & BIOS 3067" about it. ASUS are releasing bad BIOS that kill/damage their MB from working right and also don't use BIOS Flashback button either a youtube by the name jay2cents had lost 3 MB from using it. I used it once but everything work fine until i used the built-in BIOS within the settings that causing my MB ran crazy. I need to RMA it soon once i get a replacement MB not from asus. I love to share more but stay away from ASUS Motherboards.Honestly any reviews on this motherboard about booting up is the end user who didn’t listen well about building first time pc hardware together. My first time putting together this hardware was fun and scary experience for me.Motherboard didn’t boot up fully; I freaked out and said i got a defect motherboard. I was so wrong and stupid, the likely causes are either motherboard, cpu, or ram sticks. Bios on the motherboard was out of date and root caused on why the yellow dram light turning on and main issues on booting up.I had to redo all the Fan pins connecting again so it’s in order starting with main case fans and water cooler pump/fans. RPG on the water cooler fans were cool but not a main thing for me as long as it cools the cpu heat greatly which does i believe. I can’t say for 100% sure since I haven’t had a desktop PC in years especially one that is gaming desktop pc over normal desktop computers are.I picked an AMD CPU Ryzen 5 7600X since its friendly budget cpu and handles all my gaming needs greatly. It can handle 5200mhz speeds from ram good. The system rams are Corsair Vengeance DDR5 clock at 5200mhz speeds, two sticks of 8gb for total of 16GB in duel memory channel mode. Plan to upgrade it to 32gb later on.Cpu cooler is water cooler by Corsair H100xRGP elite liquid cooler. Finally main boot drive is crucially p3 plus 1TB gen 4 which has incredible read and write rate speeds that the motherboard handles like a pro.Motherboard has many USB ports for connecting USB of different speeds like USB 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 and USB type C as well two of then for 10 or 20 speeds. I would had love if it supported USB 3.0 speeds or higher since they are already backwards compatible towards older usb speeds. Anyway we have 4 x usb 2.0 ports, two usb 3.0 ports, and finally two usb c ports for connecting with. One Ethernet connection port that gives 2.5 gigabytes speeds for online experience. The system is fully stable on running all the hardware perfectly. I plan to upload a video review so keep eye out for other parts mentioned here.

This is a very high quality board with generous heat sinks and no tiny fans to get clogged.Stuff I liked:Metal reinforced PCIe x16 slot.A robust retaining clip on the x16 slot that won't break off if you need to remove the video card. Both a gen 4 and a gen 5 nvme drive slot. Both have heat sinks.Indicator lights on the motherboard help with basic diagnostics. They actually came in handy for me.UEFI BIOS is easy to set up. Smart memory access is called Resizable BAR here, but is trivial to enable in any event. AMD EXPO memory profiles are likewise trivial to set up.Built-in backplane for all external ports made of a real alloy plate.Built-in Bluetooth is a nice touch.Armoury Crate installs automatically when you install a bog standard version of Windows 11.What I didn't like so much:Armoury Crate wants to install chipset and video drivers rather than let Windows install the chipset drivers. I prefer to install video drivers directly from AMD.PCIe 5.0 is only available for 1 nvme slot. It is not available to the x16 card slot.No optical or coax out for on-board HD audio.Manual could stand to use a better, more legible font. The number of SATA connectors is dwindling compared to previous generations. The DRAM indicator comes on and stays amber for a disturbingly long period of time during boot. The boot eventually proceeds just fine, but this behavior can make diagnosing RAM issues a pain.Warning! Installing DDR5 memory is tricky. The manual tells you to use what appear to be secondary slots for installing 2 sticks, and this does seem correct BTW (one per channel, use the gray DIMM slots). But since DDR5 is notched just about dead center, it may not be obvious which way to insert a module.General rule of thumb is, the branding on the RAM should face away from the CPU. Since I bought G.Skill memory, both sides of the heat sink had branding. D'oh! The trick is to look at the branding on the top edge of the heat sink (see photos). Also, the holographic stickers were facing toward the CPU.
