For the price, works great. Upgrading to a higher reflectivity will cost more, but if you want the best then go that route

I decided to go a 2" Diagonal and a 2" eyepiece to see what it's like. I have a slew of scopes from small Astrographs to large SCTs and a ton of eyepieces from an 80°4.5mm to a 40mm widefield but they are all 1.25" diameter.I wanted to experience a 2"eyepiece.Before you can put in a 2" eyepiece you should use a 90° diagonal to reflect the image up to a comfortable position. That's what this does. It uses a mirror in the base to reflect the image, when inserted between the scope and an eyepiece. Some diagonals use a prism to accomplish this, but this one uses a mirror, which is common. The mirror is optically 'flat' meaning it does not introduce any distortion in the image. It is a first surface mirror meaning the aluminum coating is exposed to anything that ventures inside of the unit. So you should take extra care to keep things out of it and not let dust build up on it.However, this diagonal is very well made and sturdy. It's mostly metal and the construction is well tended. With a little care this Diagonal should last for years!A good bargain for quality!

The Astromania 90 degree diagonal mirror features a slightly tapered 2 inch, outside diameter piece that fits into the telescope. No matter where the set screws of your telescope are placed, the diagonal has a snug fit with no wobble. Also, the slot on the eyepiece side of the diagonal can allow a set screw to slide down into the tube. Another very useful feature. Great diagonal at a bargain price.

Inexpensive 2" mirror diagonal that does not include a 1.25" eyepiece adapter. Has a cutout in the eyepiece holder for a low profile eyepiece adapter for 1.25" eyepieces. Clear aperture at the eyepiece holder is 44.5mm. The nose piece and eyepiece holder both have the same threading so are interchangeable. Solid all metal construction, except for the mirror, particularly considering the price.

+>Very nice upgrade from the 1.25" Celestron diagonal that I was using. Huge difference in brightness, fov, and clarity.>Easily gets at least 150x from a 4" refractor. Bands of Jupiter, defined rings around Saturn, better double star separation and glob clusters, etc.>Edge to edge clarity with no noticeable distortions or abberations.>Sturdy and feels solidly built.>Adapter ring included. Good thumbscrews.>Price.->Fogs up when the humidity is higher than 60-70%. Removing the eyepiece and letting it breath for a few seconds usually clears it up though.
