Works exactly as it should. It was low cost, but the materials/gauges seem to be good quality.

This tire pressure pencil gauge kit caught my eye when I saw it. I liked the fact that the kit included 3 gauges and came in a compact case that would make stashing it in a glove box or other storage place convenient. Also, I have an old pencil air pressure gauge that I like, but it is about 3” long and is a little difficult for me to hang onto when using it. These gauges solve that problem, given that the barrel of two of them is 4-5/8” long and the third one is 5-1/4” long. After receiving the kit, I was impressed by the looks and feel of the gauges and the rigidity of the storage case. However, given that the hinges on the case are not on pivots, but rather one piece of plastic, the hinges may eventually crack and split with use. That, of course, has not happened yet, but I have experienced such hinge failure on similar storage cases in the past.As for the gauges themselves, they each have a different maximum pressure rating. One is rated at 75 psi, one at 100 psi (both of these are 4-5/8” long) and one at 120 psi (5-1/4” long). These pressure ratings are etched into the barrels on each gauge for quick identification though they are a little difficult to see. They each also have a pocket clip for added convenience. They can also be removed if desired. The indicator bar is 4-sided, one side for BAR readings, one side for KPA readings, and two sides for PSI readings. The markings for the PSI readings are black, making them easy to see and read against the white background; the markings for the BAR and KPA readings are red (almost pink), making them noticeably less easy to read against the white background. There are a couple of other differences in the indicator bars worth noting. Both the 100 psi and the 120 psi gauges are graduated in 2 psi increments; the 75 psi gauge is graduated in 1 psi increments. And I noticed that the hash marks on the both the 75 psi and 100 psi gauges are dashes, whereas the hash marks on the 120 psi gauge are dots – a minor difference that probably has no significance. (See pictures). But the most important function of a tire air pressure gauge is accuracy.I tested each of these gauges, along with a digital gauge that I have, on the same tire on my pickup within minutes of each other. I tested the 75 psi gauge first. It registered 33 psi. Next, I tested the 100 psi gauge. It registered 33 psi. The 120 psi gauge registered 36 psi. I then used my digital gauge to check the tire pressure. It registered 33 psi. The 75 psi and 100 psi gauges were right on with the digital gauge at 33 psi. (See pictures). The 120 psi gauge registered 3 psi greater than all the other gauges (36 psi). This is well over the +/-2% error span advertised by the seller. Nevertheless, given that two out of the 3 gauges perfectly matched pressures with the digital gauge, I believe, generally speaking, that the gauges are adequately accurate. I will check the 120 psi a few more times (when it warms up!) to see if part of the discrepancy lies with me.Another plus is the 12 extra valve stem caps that come with the kit. They are nothing fancy – plain plastic caps easily deformed by squeezing them together. But they quickly regain their shape when released. They are certainly adequate to keep dirt and debris out of the valve stems. And then there is the price. When I ordered these air pressure gauges, the kit was $9.99. I call that I bargain given you get a convenient storage case, extra valve stem caps, their accuracy (for the most part), and their likely lifespan.I do recommend them.

AstroAI Pencil Tire Pressure Gauge 2 Pack (10-75PSI,120PSI ±2% Span), Valve Caps with Case, Stainless Steel Body, and Metal Made Nozzle 3 Measurements for Cars, Bikes, VehiclesI ordered this on January 22nd, arrived on January 31st, via UPS with another item I had ordered, left at our front gate, intact and undamaged. This comes with two (2) tire pressure gauges, one is 10 to 75 pounds, second one is 10 to 120 pounds. I only require a tire pressure gauge to 75 pounds and normally check all three of our vehicle tire pressure every two weeks, all at the same time since I have to power up my compressor and drag the hoses all over the place. The reason why I ordered an inexpensive manual tire pressure gauge is because on occasion I discover that the battery on my digital tire pressure gauges are dead. And recently my Go To Matco Digital Tire Pressure Gauge is throwing inaccurate readings so I need to have it recalibrated. I tested both manual tire pressure gauges against a different digital tire pressure gauge that is very accurate. Both manual tire pressure gauges appear to be slightly off but is very difficult to read because the line and numbers are very small. But in a pinch, I am okay with it being slightly off until I can drive to a tire center to have the tires checked by a technician. It comes in a very sturdy plastic case which I unfortunately will not use because I intend on leaving one gauge in my vehicle glove compartment and one in my spouse’s vehicle glove compartment. I like that the “deflator” is exaggerated so it is easier to bleed off air when needed. I also like that it is made out of stainless steel so there won’t be any rust issues. The suggested MSRP is very reasonable, good value. I am giving it a 4 Star rating, minus 1 star because both gauges are reading low. So I printed out a note on a label maker and taped it onto the tire pressure gauges (as a reminder).Note: The manufacture did state 1 to 2% + - up front.
