This review is for the AstroAI 62" Heavy-Duty Snow Shovel with Adjustable Ergonomic D-Shape Handle, 17-Inch Wide Snow Shovel for Car with Stainless Steel Blade, Easily Remove Heavy Snow from Car, Driveway, Yard (Black). This a great shovel! I'm a short woman at 5 foot, so being able to adjust the handle down the shaft is huge! I can then hold onto the far end of the shaft with my other hand for leverage to pick the snow load up easier and toss it! It's so much easier to keep it properly balanced! I've looked at other attachable second shovel handles to try to make using the snow shovel better on my back, but they just didn't just didn't seem like they would be that good. So I do think this shovel could be better with 2 handles, just saying. You can leave one of the shaft pieces off this if it's too long. The shovel head on this is a good shape/size and has the nice metal front edging piece on it. It wraps all the way on top around the front and onto the bottom to help protect the plastic and should help it last longer. If you're not going to be breaking the shovel down you may want to consider using some tape on the threads/over the joints just to make sure everything stays tightly screwed together. We live in a northern state and get harsh winter conditions. You can't have too many shovels, I've broken 2 so far this winter! LOL. It's right at the end of Feb and I'm seriously hoping we're done with getting snow dumped on us at this point! But realistically we're not safe from the snow/ice until later in May or even June! So it never hurts to have backup shovels. I even have a small one that breaks down we keep in our main vehicle.Regular price $ 49.99 per the listing and I'm good with it. The features/adjustable handle on this really is a game changer! As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

This shovel will up your game, make it fun to shovel. Well, maybe not fun, but the long edge will make it faster!Mother Nature and her various moods gave me another chance to shovel if we wanted to get out of the house, and to make a walkway for that important Amazon delivery. The drivers appreciate that. So I got to try it out, just when the snow came. The only problem I had with it was putting it together. There aren’t really any instructions, just a manual showing the dimensions. The picture is your guide, as to which tube is the one that goes in the handle, or the shovel. I’m not the one who usually puts things together, so that could explain why it took me so long. But once together, it’s very sturdy and easy to use. It’s adjustable as well, for shorter people (me!), or young people. But it’s very sharp, so use caution when using it.AstroAI has been a quality company in my experience, with a customer service line that wants to help you even before your purchase, so you get the right product. That was the reason I got this shovel, because of my experience with them.If you shovel snow frequently or find you are getting more snow than you used to get, this shovel is for you.

First of all, this shovel is made with some very high quality materials. Most of it is metal, but the scoop is a very thick durable plastic. I assume they made it plastic to reduce weight... but the shaft is all metal and heavy, so I'm not sure why those choices were made - there's probably some sort of physics behind the mechanics of scooping snow. The front edge of the scoop has a strip of metal which works great to scrape and cut through the snow piles. The instructions are terrible. The shovel comes in a box in many pieces and the only diagram is one drawing showing the finished constructed shovel with call-out labels for each piece. But each physical piece isn't labeled with stickers or anything, so it's up to you to figure out which order all the similar looking shaft pieces go. There are no step-by-step written instructions either, so it's literally a puzzle you just have to figure out using logic and/or guess-and-check. I ended up taking it apart a few times before I got it right. Then my husband took it apart completely because the pieces wouldn't stay tight very well when shoveling. He decided to use the plumbers tape it came with to help the threading stay tighter, since he didn't plan on taking it back apart for storage. I originally didn't put the tape because I wasn't sure if it would come back apart well using the tape - or if we'd have to re-tape each time we took it apart... the manual didn't even mention tape existed (unless I missed it somewhere).Fully assembled, the shovel is as tall as me, a grown adult female at 5'4. I haven't tried removing one of the shaft pieces to see if that would be more comfortable for me - my husband will be using it as well, so I figured I'd let him decide if he wants to remove a piece or move the handle down.Another minor gripe is that the shaft is made of a metal that gets very cold. I'm not sure what makes this metal hold the coldness more than other metal shovels I've used, but this one feels extra cold. If your gloves are thick enough, it won't matter, but if you're using it to quickly shovel off porches without gloves or standard gloves, your hands are going to freeze.Overall, it's a nice shovel, and it's neat that you have the option to take it apart for storage. The negative things are relatively minor. I don't know that I'd pay the current $50 price tag on it, but I'd probably pay $30 or maybe up to $40. I don't doubt that the materials used in it make it a $50 product, but I just wouldn't want to pay that much for a shovel I only use a couple of times in the winter.
