This learning Astro pad was so good to my nephew he enjoyed learning the different types of words on the cards. He really loved how it was easy to change cards and how clear he could hear the voice on the pad. He also loved the way he could carry it anywhere easy to care for sturdy did not get damaged when dropped it. Good quality product well made I give it five stars because they really made a good product for young children.Great learning tool!

My son loves to play and learn with this set. When he wants screen time I can always grab this and he is just as happy and engaged. He is old enough he can move and replace the provided cards. They have noises, sounds and speak the pictures as he presses them. It is a great tool to allow them to learn, play and interact own their own. The device almost resembles a tablet so he enjoys the play time with it. The device and the cards both are durable and will last a good while. The price point on this one makes it affordable and giftable too.

I ordered this set for my toddler to help him along in his learning. My toddler is 2 years old, and can be a bit rough with things. While I think this set would be great for a more gentle toddler, I think one thing that would help would be making the pages a bit more durable, possibly laminating them would cover that. I would say that this would make a great gift for someone with a more gentle toddler, or possibly an older toddler. It is a great value for the product with the amount of slides that are offered and the overall quality of the product. It’s easy to use, and my toddler figured out quite quickly how to switch the cards from one to another. I would say that a good age range for this toy would be between 1 and 4, as there’s no such thing as starting too early with hearing different words and songs, and it’s always good to have different options for learning tools as children get older. I can absolutely recommend this learning toy!

I do like the considerable amount of options available with the cards, and the fact that they have a front/back that's different provides a lot of variability while minimizing the clutter. The stories are nice, the basic recognition is great, but the age recommendation runs a bit high in my opinion. This is more on the level for toddlers, preschool, or pre-K, but seems a bit simple for children that have moved on to kindergarten or higher. Although, my 1st grader quite enjoys the stories, and has run through all of them quite a few times, nothing else is helping her do much of any learning, and once the novelty runs out, it's not good for much. My 3-yr old, however, seems to get a pretty good bit of learning and review, but it helps for an adult to be present so she has someone to talk with about her experience as she plays. There's been a few times when it stopped working. The first time it stopped, I replaced the batteries with a new set, and it was back to working fine. But, it soon went back to the same problem, making me wonder if this thing eats batteries at an incredible rate, or if something was wrong with it. Funny thing is it went back to working right later, so the machine itself is a bit fiddly, and not quite reliable. Hopefully not every item has the same problem that this one had.

This is such a helpful learning tool for my autistic Grandson. He's six years old and is a Gestalt language processor. He learns through repetition and the Astro pad lets him choose what he wants to hear as often as he likes. The animal cards say the name of the animal as well as the sound it makes, which he loves to mimic. He especially likes the ocean animals and nursery rhymes. We're always looking for fun ways to engage him and help him to communicate. The Astro pad is one of those tools that entertains while teaching.

This Astro Pad has a very light and simple design. The Pad comes with 3 AA batteries that I replaced with better quality batteries. To operate the pad, install the batteries and press the on/off button for 2 seconds. You then put one of the 18 different themed cards on the pad, press one of the pictures and a voice clearly tells you what it is. The Astro Pad includes a wide variety of sight words, nursery rhymes and stories. When you're finished, press the on/off button for 2 seconds, the pad says good bye and turns off. I am very pleased with the quality of this Astro Pad but best of all, the children love it. After showing the children how the Pad works a couple of times, most of them were able to continue using it on their own. It is always better with an adult but I do love how easy this Pad is for the children to operate.

Our little Japanese-American granddaughter is learning English from her father and Japanese from her mother. We thought this learning toy would be a great exposure to English phonics and alphabet as she enters her toddler years in this bilingual environment. The design is quite clever: Switch the cards to cover a whole new subject area of cards to learn. It's easy to control the volume level and the sound quality of the word pronunciation is quite clear. A well-engineered toy.Our little girl is a little young to start with this, but in a few months, I will post an update about how she takes to it. In the meantime, grandpa and grandma have been having a lot of fun playing with and getting it ready to help our little princess learn to speak and read English.
