After over 30 years near the garage door, 2 glass globes got destroyed by hail. The acrylic replacements look exactly the same and even after a year outdoors exposed to the elements, they are still white like on day one. Great product.

Made out of acrylic and does not yellow. The neck of the globes could be at least an inch longer although it still works.

I ordered the 6", 3-1/4" Fitter version. I had a frosted glass globe shade above my kitchen sink that spontaneously broke at the base, dropped into the sink, and left shattered glass everywhere. I decided I wanted a non-glass replacement, and this worked perfectly.I was initially unsure if it would fit. I measured my old broken globe at the threaded base and the outside diameter was just around 3-1/4". This ended up fitting just fine and I cannot see much of a difference in light color or filtering either. Very pleased with the replacement.The current price of around $21 is fair. This feels like it will last a very long time so it's worth it.

One star off for using a material that will degrade in the elements, but I couldn't find a replacement screw in shade that wasn't super expensive. It looks super spiffy, though. Enjoy the transient beauty!
