This is not for a parrot / bird this harness is for adults small dog or cat... if u look closing at the display photo the bird has a different harness on. Spend the extra money and get an aviator bird harness.

He did not like it , it was not a good fit it needs better strong material he chewed through to much money for a Hassel.

My cockatoo is a machine of destruction, almost a weapon of war. That he hasn't been able to rip this into its component atoms is a credit to its manufacture.However, it's not really clear how to put it on a bird, the instructions are incredibly unclear, and information online refers to many different models, making it impossible to clearly figure this out. I think I've muddled my way into a configuration that works, but it doesn't look like in the images of a bird wearing it. And they way it looks in that picture has been impossible to replicate. I'm probably missing a rotation into some higher dimension.So the product is sturdy, but you may need advanced non-euclidean geometry to properly put it on your bird. This cost it a star, from the 4 I was willing to give it.

I liked the harness but my parrot did not. Very hard to put on and really stressed my baby so had to send back. A bird's wing is different from a dog's leg if you get the picture.

I bought this with the mistaken idea that my Yellow Nape Amazon would go out in the grass and I would be able to keep him from flying off. Good idea, but my bird won’t let me get near him with it.

Easy to put on, if your bird is cooperative. The leash could be a little longer. I attached a small dog lead so I could let him go further away; definitely helps for flying!It's adjustable which is nice. My macaw is only 3 months old, so I shouldn't have to buy another one as he grows.
