Better than the akai MPK3 mini, which I returned after it had faulty pads. MiniLab 3 is amazing, key feel is great(mpk3 feels like a child’s toy comparatively) ,Drum pads feel just as good as Akai’s(just not as big, no big deal imo).Display is cleaner / more detailed than mpk 3. HAS USB C TOO!! Which is the standard for all my equipment in 2025. No more USB-B printer plugs thank god

I've had this for almost a year now, and its build quality has held up well. The boost to my workflow is still just as noticeable, even after all this time. Honestly, I can't imagine making music without a controller like this. I'm also glad I went with Arturia for the first time—their build quality is outstanding, and this controller has proven its usefulness every single day.

Nice weighted keys. Light but doesn’t feel cheap. Works well and connects instantly with Ableton. I’m impressed with this little guy without breaking the bank. There are buttons with octave up and down too!The product comes with a reminder to register the midi and the midi itself. You need to plug in to your computer, register the product and download the software. For the DAW and other software keys, after you have registered you can find it on top right under “my product”.When you mess around with the midi make sure the slider for “master” is slid up or you wont hear anything.Have fun. I’m still learning but I had fun right out of the box after stumbling through.

My son purchased this and he absolutely loves it. He is using it to teach himself to play. Can’t get him off of it. Great quality, works great.

The vast majority of the playing, looping and configuration was in Garageband for iPad and a little in Logic Pro X for iPad. I watched a lot of reviews on YT and decided to try them for myself. I wasn't sure which controller would work best for me. I am relatively new to the DAW/MIDI controller world. I have dabbled in piano and synth for decades, but am definitely not an expert. Below is my take on the Arturia Minilab 3.I reviewed all 4 devices below separately. At least to me.Things I DISliked about the Arturia Minilab 3:⦁ the touch sensors instead of pitch and mod "wheels" wasn't a big deal for me. They worked as expected. I am not a seasoned pitch/mod wheel officianado. Some will disagree with my assessment of touch sensors vs. wheels.⦁ The preset for Garageband didn't map completely in iPad OS. None of the controllers I tested did, so this isn't really a dig on the Arturia specifically.⦁ There is minimal labeling on the face of the device. Other devices had more labels on button/key to select a parameters. Labeling is minimal on the Minilab 3. It looks much cleaner, but makes it harder to recall what function is where.⦁ The pads weren't good for me. I felt they were too sloppy/wobbly, especially at the edges. I noticed that this led to "accidental double-taps". Maybe my technique was the problem. They just didn't feel as good (to me) as the M-Audio or Akai pads.⦁ transport controls are not discreet buttons. They are shared with pads.⦁ Only has 25 keys. They are EXCEPTIONAL keys, but only 25.⦁ The pads are in a straight line. Some may really like that. I personally prefer them stacked in 2 rows of 4. That is just my preference, not a real negative.Overall build quality - Arturia Minilab 3: Very Good. Solid, stable fit and finish, except for the pads. The encoders and faders are really good and tight. And the keys, oh, the keys.

Teclas boas, muito controle, bastante integração com a DAW (uso Ableton Live), pacote de softwares atraente. Com bons fones e um bom computador da pra fazer música em qualquer lugar, além de ser uma ótima ferramenta para o play ao vivo.

The Midi sounds great and has excellent features for even beginners. But the applications and plugins require registration. Sometime even multiple registration for the same app. And then they still may not work.

Gostei, mesmo não tendo "contemplado"!Vou providenciar upgrade do computador (imac e macbook 2011), mas deveria devolver o produto. Não consegui acessar os knobs em nenhuma DAW que tinha (máquinas não suportam versões atuais). Mas vou elogiar a leveza e a praticidade aparente de instalação. Ruim: não poder ligar direto a uma caixa bluetooth, ou, ter uma alimentação de energia própria (para facilitar uso com celular. Fora isso, é o que dizem nos reviews.

This midi keyboard has a great keybed. Endless encoders feel great. Software is excellent and DAW implementation is good. The inclusion of a full size 5 pin midi out is a great addition and something I needed.The only flaw on this controller is that the pads aren't as sensitive as I'd like. They are easy to mod to get the sensativity however, just look at guides on YouTube.

I wanted to just use my Micro Korg S for a small external midi keyboard for creating on the go. But, the black keys on that keyboard are not as responsive as the white keys which makes playing the "Light My Fire" intro a pain in the butt. (I use that tune to test the key action). I've also been looking for a mini keyboard with a standard midi out socket AND I needed the keys mechanics to be very quiet so I could create in our bedroom at night while my sweet sweet wife sleeps. THIS ARTURIA MINILAB IS PERFECT! I was shocked at how well it is made and the key action is consistant across ALL the keys...a BIG difference from the Micro Korg. I popped it out of the box right away and hooked it up to my Logic X and WOW! It played perfectly at once! So, it's a huge winner with me!
