rubber ends come off, and its not stainless steel

This product has 3 parts. One stainless steel hammer and two screw-in plastic hammer-head ends. The materials are fine for what you pay for, but the joining of the plastic hammer-head ends to the hammer itself is poor quality. I bought 5 sets. One set was as described. Four sets had plastic hammer-head inserts that wouldn't stay attached to the hammer-the thread diameters were too thin for the thread holes. Amazon exchanged them and the replacements had the same problem. This is not a high-tech product. The tolerances are well-within the capability of any manufacturer who cares about quality of their product. China can make some amazing products, but this manufacturer does not seem to know how or care to do so. I won't be buying from this manufacturer again.

Item is just what the description says. Very sturdy. Ordered it for my office to do some bone marrow procedures. It's safe for autoclaving
