It did what it was supposed to do. After the ring is cut you still need to expand the ring. A top quality ring is a bit stiff and doesn’t want to spread out. The cutter works fine.

I’ve had a white gold ring on my finger for about 20 years. I tried everything to get it off including industrial bolt cutters. I get it caught on everything constantly to the point where my knuckle is a giant scar. Took a chance on this tool to save me a trip to the ER to have it removed. Worked like a charm. It’s by no means quick. I have carpal tunnel so I did need the assistance of my daughter and husband. I would recommend this tool to anyone needing help removing a ring.

It really worked! My daughter’s finger was swollen & there was no way the ring was going to go over her red, swollen finger. The ring cutter was fast & easy! So glad we didn’t have to go out to a jewelry store to get the ring cut off!

Tool cut through a gold ring with ease. One comment though; you have to make sure that the blade is within the walls of the safety lever that goes under the ring otherwise you would cut the lever or the person.
