I have a small business making and selling handmade jewelry. I wanted to expand my line by adding some jewelry where I will be wire wrapping larger stones. This 5/32" Wide, 65 Feet copper strip will be used as a "frame" around the larger gems that I want to wire wrap. I'm thinking this will work perfectly for that purpose.

Artmuses re-strip is an essential tool for people who work in stained glass. Re-strip allows you to strengthen joints and seams known as "hinge points" to keep our work from flexing. This roll is a great value, and at 65 feet in length is over twice the amount in the usual packaging. It comes in a pull out package so you don't run into the evil uncoiling monster that would cause you to have 50+ feet of copper strip escaping.

THis is a big spool of copper! But keep it packaged, because the spool doesn't have sides.Do yourself a favor and cut a notch in the plastic packaging for feeding the copper. Due to the aspect ratio of the spool, this would tend to fall off the sides rather easily, which makes storing it a headache once you take it out of its packaging. But if you keep it in the package, you'll be just fine.It's copper, it's as thick, wide, and long as described. Love it!

I admit I didn't read the description carefully but I'm so happy I got this product. It looked like regular foil tape to me but it's actually a very strong and very thick reel of copper, .01" and very hard to wrinkle. At first I was surprised at how difficult it was to bend, and then I noticed that there was no adhesive, but I can really use this stuff. It can be soldered on both sides because there is no adhesive and is very useful for structural reinforcement. It will look very nice placed around the perimeter of pieces to give it a more finished look and can be used to reinforce hinge joints, which I learned about recently. I can always use this for filling problematic gaps where solder sometimes flows through, and I'm sure I can come up with other creative uses as I get more experienced. It was a pleasant surprise kind of order, thanks.

ARTIMUSES Copper Reinforcing Strip: Copper reinforcing strips are normally added to larger works of foiled stained glass to add strength, it is not copper foil, it is thicker and does not have an adhesive side. Since I did not have a large work in progress, I trialed this on a smaller project where a very small piece of glass was needed to fill a slot. The piece was so small, foiling the entire piece would have obstructed the glass, so I foiled only the exposed tip and slide in a piece of the strip to add strength to one side. The strip is firm and easy to trim to size. The copper on the entire roll is shiny and bright. The package allows the roll to remain covered by the plastic packaging while I removed the amount needed. I found it easy to work with and it definitely held the shape intended. Will work great for large projects to add strength. It took solder and patina well (see before and after pics). Highly recommend if you work with larger projects.

This copper strip is exceptionally well made and working great for my projects which are not just limited to stained glass, I also use it in jewelry making and with resin work. The price is very reasonable as I bought some at a craft store that was more expensive and had less on the role so chances are, I will continue to buy this strip for my future projects. It is very sturdy but also, pliable and easy to work with and manipulate into the shapes you need it to be. I hope you find this review helpful!
