I have been questioning why topiary balls are so expensive, so I assumed it would be better than expected for the price. It comes in two pieces, so you would expect quality materials to click the two parts together, but no, just hard plastic that doesn’t smoothly fit. While you are trying to line up the opposing plastic parts together it is very easy to accidentally pull off pieces of the leaves and the pieces do not easily fit together. There is no click feeling or assurance it connected. Then as soon as you think you get one side connected you, the other pops off. It’s usable, but doesn’t seem sturdy or that it will stay together long term. They include zip ties and no instructions so I assume they know it doesn’t stay together well and you are supposed to reach in and out connecting the pieces and the leaves already seem fragile. I can honestly say this is not what I expected. There is also a strong, foul odor to them so thankfully I plan to use them outside and I’m sure that will fade.

Some may think that they won’t like putting these together since they arrive in half spheres. You receive 2 spheres / 4 halves. It is extremely easy and they fluff easily from shipping. I highly recommend purchasing these!!

I use these in my front landscaping and I love that they are in halves, I anchored them each to the ground. They are very nice, hopefully will stand up well.

Do yourself and your fingers a favor. Get some larger ties! Black ties work just fine. I was very excited to get these for my front entrance. They arrived promptly and I liked them right out of the box. However, trying to put the two halves together proved to be frustrating and harder than I thought, with the small lime green ties provided. Fortunately, I remembered I had a bunch of larger black ties left from another project, and this is what I ended up using. Still not the easiest thing to do, but it worked! Overall results were better than expected! Highly recommend!

These topiary balls are beautiful, lush and realistic. I bought them to create topiaries on my deck with tall white planters I also bought on Amazon. When I put the topiary balls in the planters, I realized the scale was off. So I bought two more balls and stacked them on top so they are now tiered topiaries, and they look so cool now. The way I did it was I bought half-inch copper pipes and stood them up through the drainage holes in the shelf insert of the planters, and then the pipes went through openings in the topiary balls. When I was done, part of the copper pipe stuck out past the topiary ball on top, so I used a pipe cutter to trim the excess portion. Now when I sit or work out on the deck I feel like I'm on vacation at a resort. (Well, almost.) These topiary balls are gorgeous, and I highly recommend them. However, assembling the two halves into one ball was tough. Here are my tips: use pliers to connect them. Connect one section at a time. Immediately after putting the protruding part into the hole, grab one of the zip ties and secure that section. Then move on to the next section. Putting the first few zip ties in is easy because you can stick your hand through the open section of the ball and insert the end of the zip tie through the other side. But as the whole ball gets closed up, you can't stick your hand through anymore, so then I used tweezers to help me with the zip tie. Leave all the zip ties with their long ends hanging out until you're finished, and then snip off the excess. Leaving the long ends on helps you figure out where the next connection point is, as it's really hard to keep track because these balls are so lush with foliage. I got really good at it by the 4th ball. These are wonderful. Highly recommend!
