Disappointed. Not powerful enough for simple task to staple 1/4" sisal twine to pine backing. I hoped to replace twine on a cat scratching post, and I used 1/2" staple size. Every staple bent or twisted, no matter how carefully I aligned it. I resorted to simply tacking the twine down with hammer and nails.

We had some chairs to reline the underside and this worked very well to place on and staple!

Just what I needed, a simple battery powered staple gun. Mechanical ones never seem to last long. Since I actually do upholstery, I recommend not buying this for that task. You need something that runs 1/4" narrow crown chizel staples. Find one that will handle 3/8 staples (WEN). Get a pneumatic if you do it all day long.

When I opened the box, the power light was on (main switch was on), possibly indicating the item was a return and returned with power on, or used by someone and then re-boxed. I tested it; it works OK, sets staples flush. Nice feel, easy load. Probably would have given a higher rating, if it wasn't received with power on.

The unit arrived defective. Unable to charge. No initial charge either. The unit was in the on position when taken out of the package. A waste of time. I think it would be best to get the pneumatic version or electric. Returned the next day. :-(

I bought a competitor's cordless stapler that was $30 less expensive, did not hold a full sleeve of staples, jammed constantly, and was extremely hard to get the safety pin to release. I tried two of them and gave up and paid $30 more for this arrow stapler. It holds a full sleeve of staples, and after about 25 sleeves, not a single jam. It does not take a lot of pressure to release the safety pin (keeps from firing if not depressed) especially good when stapling insulation overhead at unusual angles. Not sure how many staples you can staple before charging is required, but at least 20 sleeves. It recharged in about an hour. With the competitor's stapler, I had to break off a quarter of the sleeve, and such a hassle loading partial sleeves, not to mention partial sleeves tend to jam more often. I am extremely happy with this stapler.

Excellent staple gun. Just redid the bottom dust covers of four chairs but used a padded vinyl so it would lsst. No issues stapling through heavy material. Easy to use. No kickback either.
