The Modem/Router arrives with minimum instructions, so you are on your own. I got it going. Its a nice product and it integrates both the modem and the wireless router. Once you programmed a User Name and Password, all the members of your household can join in.

This was a terrific purchase. I initially got one (another Arris) from Best Buy that didn't have phone jack ports for a landline. I was subsequently informed that that comes on a more expensive unit since apparently landline modems are a thing of the past. In any case I needed one and found this one, love the price, installed the unit and Comcast was able to provision it so that it worked without any difficulty. Big win for me without spending the crazy sums of money required for a comparable model at a store like Best Buy!

I have Xfinity 300 and this 7400 refurbished model works very well, it’s been 2 years 8/22 - 9/24 and we have had zero issues. X made the connection and setup - my range is excellent upstairs downstairs and even outside I am able to stream on TV &or laptop in all places around my home with no issues . I am very happy with this product.

I wanted to upgrade my WIFI router and was looking for something that would work with my service but this router works great and I can connect the ethernet when needed. The WIFI speeds have been great so far and no real issues have occurred. If you want to upgraded from your Internet provided I would recommend this WIFI Router which is a 2 in 1.

I bought the SVG2482AC "renewed." The physical setup was easy. But then came the frustrating, time-consuming effort to find a way to connect it to the internet. After calling Xfinity to register it 3 times (and 3+ hours later) , I learned that the CMAC number had not been reset. The previous owner had shut down the account, but without the reset, Xfinity wouldn't recognize the modem/router. The fault lay not with Xfinity but with the seller. That should have been checked before the sale. Only because of a tenacious tech support agent at Xf was the problem solved so that I didn't have to spend another $100 for a technician's visit. Bottom line: equipment good; support zip.

I had high hopes to a battery backup 911 phone line, modem and router "all-in-one", but this specific unit was a trasher and the manufacturer's support was very bad. While it's my fault that I didn't try to install this before the deadline to return it, it reflects on Amazon's refurbishment program that the device had serious problems when I got around to it (four months later). Could not connect to internet (after extensive diagnostics, including service provider's technician spending an hour on it.) In addition, I couldn't log in to the web-based settings framework. Ethernet didn't register at all until after the first (of three) hardware resets. This couldn't have all happened since Amazon shipped it, this strongly indicates that Amazon sent a broken product without properly testing it.The device itself has certain issues with the manufacturer - their web page for this product does not provide a link to the manual or firmware update(s). Arris has no excuse either.Lots of wasted hours by multiple people and interruption of an essential service - absolutely not acceptable.

I have Xfinity as my provider who first recommended I blow 200 bucks on an Arris G36. Lost 160 bucks on that as by the time I installed it, too late to return. Then they recommended an Arris T25. Still have that dust collector as same deal, can't return and no one will give me 20 bucks for it. Finally called Arris who knew their stuff and they recommended this WIFI model that I purchased for 65 bucks refurbished and works great. Arris customer service dudes seem to be from India but work in downtown Philadelphia. Don't care as the folks at Xfinity are nice, don't give me a hard time when I want to purchase a piece of equipment of my own but I lost around 400 bucks until I finally called Arris and knew exactly the model I needed. Long term, I'd save 15 bucks a month. It appears I’m not the only person out there whose provider doesn't have a clue. Moral of the story is to call Arris, tell them your provider and what devices you need and they will save you hundreds of bucks unless you try to install it right away and can return it. Anyone out there want an Arris T25 in mint condition? JK as I'll post it again on Facebook's Marketplace for 15 bucks and see what happens.
