- Lightweight : Carbon fiber is 5 times lighter than steel (ASTM-A1008) and almost 2 times lighter than aluminum when comparing similar sized pieces.
- High Strength & Stiffness : Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) has the highest specific strength and modulus (stiffness) per density compared to metal, plastic and wood.
- Low Thermal Expansion: When metal is exposed to heat, it will expand and weaken which can cause issues and possible failure of the part. Carbon fiber has low thermal expansion.
- Low Thermal Conductivity: Metal acts as a conductor, aluminum more than steel, which can transmit or radiate heat to its surroundings and cause heat soak. Carbon fiber has low thermal conductivity.

I bought these tubes for one of my PCP rifles, but I well-made finally finish. They’re not shiny. Unfortunately the inside diameter was a little bit too tight for a silencer so I had to send them back with if they fit your purposes I would buy them again like I said they didn’t feed me but if they feed you, it’s a good

Bought this because I figured if I made a suit out of it I could travel into great depths of the ocean. I think it will work great. I'll update after I give the suit a try in a few days...

Arris tubes are well made, here's a few pics of what I make with them. (The glossy blue tube isn't an Arris product, but a buddy of mine is a retired SWAT sniper, and his wife a newly retired SWAT negotiator, they're building their home from the ground up. So I needed to make them a glossy LEO black and blue model). I have two versions, one is loaded with N52 bar magnets, the other is electromagnetic with heavy copper coils, both can easily hold every knife in my butcher block and my pocket knife without breaking a sweat.Without these high quality Arris tubes, I wouldn't be making the world's coolest metal chip collectors. :)Started making these as after I retired from Army aviation, I was tired of metal chips, curls and shavings getting everywhere, even more tired of getting metal splinters from my metal saw. Many of the metal chip collectors on the market have weak electromagnet fields, over-priced or both.

Yes it's true; I bought this to replace the axle in my garden cart. Honestly it wasn't much more expensive than steel, and it was the exact length and diameter I needed for the new wheels I bought. I did get stuck briefly when I realized I couldn't drill holes for the cotter pins on each end (breaks up the fibers and weakens the structure over time). So instead I used a tight rubber grommet surrounded by a hose clamp. Works great so far!

This is some nice looking tubing. I bought this for a custom display mount for an e-bike, and it will work perfectly. This is not true carbon fiber I don't believe. I think it is a plastic core with a carbon veneer. But it serves my needs perfectly. The carbon finish is dead on. Very subtle but the pattern is even and aligned well with the tubing itself. Will buy more for additional bicycle needs.

These tubes seem strong and weigh just 35 grams. The inner and outer diameter measurements are very consistent and able to slide over another tube (from a different source) having just .3mm clearance with great success. The non-gloosy "flat" finish is nice looking and stealthy. Very pleased with the quality of these tubes.
