ARRIS premium quality carbon fibre tubes manufactured using 100% high-strength carbon fibre reinforcement and epoxy resin with a smooth, glossy, cosmetic quality carbon fibre finish on both sides.

- Lightweight : Carbon fiber is 5 times lighter than steel (ASTM-A1008) and almost 2 times lighter than aluminum when comparing similar sized pieces.
- High Strength & Stiffness : Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) has the highest specific strength and modulus (stiffness) per density compared to metal, plastic and wood.
- Low Thermal Expansion: When metal is exposed to heat, it will expand and weaken which can cause issues and possible failure of the part. Carbon fiber has low thermal expansion.
- Low Thermal Conductivity: Metal acts as a conductor, aluminum more than steel, which can transmit or radiate heat to its surroundings and cause heat soak. Carbon fiber has low thermal conductivity.
- RF Shielding: Carbon Fiber works well to attenuate, or block radio frequency waves, protecting your devices from scanners or people trying to access your data.

I ordered 4 of these to make an antenna mast; 2 of which had an o.d. sized for the i.d. of the other 2. I was impressed with how accurate those measurements were. A little sanding and they fit together perfectly. Very light and strong.

It’s 22mm as advertised. Keep in mind this is not quite 7/8” if you need that exactly.

This is great carbon tube for a very fair price. Most importantly, it’s to spec. so one size will perfectly fit inside of the next larger size. I used it for a shroud on my FX Impact and it works exactly as it should. Looks good too. Stoti

Dimensionally accurate tubes and an absolutely beautiful finish however the ends did not come in square and had burrs. Appear to be rough cut lengths. This was not specified in the listing but it doesn't take away anything from a 5-star review. Would (and probably will) buy again.

Superb carbon fibre rods. I didn't use it as a spinning shaft that needed to be threaded through a ball bearing/ball race but rather a structural support for a remote control helicopter boom. I was replacing a similar pair of rods that were damaged in a minor crash a few years ago. The carbon fibre weave is just wonderful. And if you're wondering the OD measurement varied from 8.05 mm - 8.11 mm which was perfect for my needs.

The product looks and feels great but upon further inspection, it has an inconsistent diameter. I attempted to put a bearing on and it only slid a few centimeters down. After measuring with my calipers, I determined this product would not be adequate for a linear rod. It may be useful in other situations where the dimensional accuracy of the diameter is not as important.I was contacted by customer service in an attempt to resolve the issue and they offered to send me a replacement or refund my money. I appreciated the customer care and that they updated their description to include the tolerances of the product.
