Fully lined, so I felt comfortable ordering a half size larger (9 to a 9.5). Full disclosure, that's all that they had available, but the fit was fine with winter socks. I waterproofed them and trudged them through nasty wet snow on the first night, short story is that they held up admirably and have become my new favorite winter bad-weather shoe. I originally wanted brown but only black was available in my size. no regrets. Well made, warm and comfortable.

I must admit I am used to paying a lot more for insulated boots. I bought a 9.5 and it fit perfect. The boot is very comfortable and the insulated lining is very warm and soft. Great value.
