The unit itself is great -- strong, light enough, well supported on my 4" bumper. It holds a 5-gallon water cooler, my 2000 watt generator, a spare gas can and a propane griddle. BUT -- the floor of the rack is open square bar, with about 3" between bars. This makes sliding something like a generator into position impossible. The feet of the generator (or anything else) just hang up on the bars, so you need to pick it up to reposition it. This is a huge hassle for some items. I bought a sheet of 16-ga. steel and fashioned in into a new floor, help in place by zip ties. That works pretty much, but you shouldn't have to do this , since I can't imagine using this carrier for anything without a floor. It should be included. If it came with a floor, I would have given it a 5...

I installed this on the back of my trailer to hold the generator. It looks great and is sturdy. We've taken it on a couple trips so far and it's holding up great! Very pleased with this choice!

I bought this for my 150# generator. It seems sturdy and is easy to install. I did have my bumper reinforced before installing it.

This is a tough steel rack that is completely welded. There are just four u-bolts and connecting plates to be attached. As with anything attached to an RV bunper the bumper itself is the more likely weak point, they do twist apart if not reinforced. The Bunpers are not made for this type loading. The rack has a load reccomendation that you should abide by.

I'm using this as a rack on the A-frame of my trailer hitch, so it's probably a little different than how most people would attach it (to their bumper). I'm totally happy with it so far. I have a 3000w generator, my 12v trailer battery, and a small tool storage box on it, and everything fits perfectly. Sturdy construction, supplied hardware works well (although I needed to add some U-bolts for my setup), and works great for my needs.

This didn’t even last one trip with my 100 lb smoker on it the thin material wil definitely not hold up to the 300lbs it says it can stay away. It would be better to make your own out of thicker material with better welds

The Cargo Rack was the perfect solution for carrying my portable generator on the back of my travel trailer. It was easy to install and it was the perfect size to carry my generator and two gas containers (although I would not carry them full of gas for safety reasons). I now do not have to load my generator in and out of my vehicle. Of course, I have it secured and locked to the rack and bumper. FYI, the bumper is rated to carry 300 lbs. With the rack, generator and a spare tire I am at about 150 lbs (estimate).

I purchased this rack for the front of my ARGO XTV. It fits perfectly. I had to fabricate my own hardware kit to get it to fit just where I want it. I also set it up to be removable by pulling 4 pins and I can remove it. I did not need the hardware mounting kit that came with it. I cannot attest to the weatherproof quality of this (will it corrode, etc.) because I've only had it a few weeks. This is sturdy. The only complaint I can make is I noticed the welds are horrible. Whom ever welded this, had little or no experience. The weld lines are jutting way out, but if you can get past that little detail, order it.
