Let me start off by saying this fan is an absolute tank. I've never in my life held a fan in my hand and not been scared of dropping it. With this one, you could legitimately throw it around and play catch with, and it would probably survive the abuse. It's heavy and thick, and not just the outer case but the blades as well; a bit thicker than your average case fan. I took pictures of it pre-install with the measurements, but my phone died before I could salvage the pics. It moves a decent amount of air; however, I have 2 complaints. Although you can control the fan through the BIOS with both PWM and DC output adjustment, the fastest speed this puts out is a bit over 3600 rpm, under 3700 rpm. It is advertised and rated for 4,000 rpm, so what's going on here? Same with another review I read. Another issue is that this fan is LOUD when set at anything past, say, 2200 rpm, so in reality, it's only practical up till this speed. Anything more and it sounds like a plastic RC plane about to take off. Still, at 2200rpm or a tad bit more, depending on your taste for loud fans, it seems to move plenty of air. I give it 4 stars because 3 stars is a bit unfair given how well built this thing is, but if there was a 3.5 star, that would be my rating. I also like the fact that the fan comes with plenty of cable (4-pin PWM) and produces no vibration noise when mounted correctly.

Needed a super high performance fan that could run on a standard motherboard header without exceeding the 1A limit, these were perfect, they move tons of air but they are also very loud as expected, even at low speeds they have some noise, but they are not intended for gamer builds that sit on your desk, these are for servers where they can run at top speed comfortably

Expecting a 4000rpm, 38mm thick, highly aggressive server fan to be as quiet as a Noctua is, frankly, ludicrous. If you have anything to say about the noise of these fans, at all, you are not the intended audience. These have massive static pressure and will move buckets of air through any obstacle by sheer brute force. What I care about is cooling effectiveness, and for the price? These things are simply fantastic.

the cooler is as in the description. At high speeds it is very noisy, if for the server then it is not critical. It would be nice if the noise level was indicated on the website.

I put these server fans in my PC case, I knew that they would be louder at high speed but they really push the air through the case and provide great cooling. At lower speeds they are just as quiet as normal pc fans and I like the fact that I have greater air flow when needed.

Before this I use a regular fan, the temperature it pulled out was 38C. I was doing recoding & my GPU was at 98 to 99% & the GPU temp was 88C. My i9-14900 was about 30% in usage.I remember those server fans in the server room. So I got this & the temp it pulled out is now 10c lower; even though the temperature of the components remain almost unchanged. I should have get the 8K.

These fans are perfect if your system has high resistance and need high air pressure to cool efficiently. It is an industrial level case fan so it will be noisy at high RPM. Dual ball bearing fans are great for 24x7 usage, and the value is awesome! Similar Delta, Sanyo Denki, and AVC fans usually cost a lot more than just over 11 bucks.

I bought theses to replace some GTFAN 12038 that were in my diskshelf as the dual ball bearings were loud. The server is in the basement and the fans that came with it could be heard on the main floor. With these, I need to actually be near the case to hear the fans. I bought these even though it was impossible to find actual reviews on them, or any data that is not Arctic marketing. It also didn't help that Arctic refused to answer questions on their reddit sub about these fans.Suffice to say, they keep my drives cool, and do so at only 1400rpm. The GTFAN that were in my case prior were keeping the drives at the same temp while running at 2300rpm. I have not had the pleasure of having theses fans ramp up to their full speed, and I do not think I will as they are doing a phenomenal job at 1400rpm. The highest temps I saw during a parity check was 40C. I might have a hot spot I need to deal with.I am wondering if the 7k fans would keep my drive even cooler at the same rpm.Overall, these fans are great. The price is right, being cheaper than those 30mm Phanteks. If you have the clearance, you should be using theses instead.
