I bought these as a prop for a story I use in my preschool class. They are perfect for this purpose, though I would recommend supervised use only for any child who may still put objects in their mouth, as they are pretty small. That said, I ended up bringing these home to use as decor, they are darling and honestly they would be a perfect gift for a person of any age who loves birds, Halloween, or appreciates a darker aesthetic.

They might look big in the packaging (which, incidentally, must cost more to make than the birds), but remember crows are ~18" long and have ~3' wingspan. Because they are black they don't photograph well. There's 2 in the pic.

Well designed, accurately described...and just plain fun! Three clever crows quickly perched upon some deadwood within my spooky forest. These versatile little birds will be welcome year-round, though.

These truly are great. However if your wanting to purchase this to add to some kind of collection of yours, just know that Amazon puts a huge barcode sticker on the back of the box. It covers up the poem in the back. I bravely decided to carefully peel it off. It left the box sticky of course, but it looks much better. I just wont be able to lay it up against anything. It was a very hard sticker to come off. Lots of gummy glue. Pretty annoying! Besides the sticker, everything looks great. The box fits in my hand. The nest inside is so cute. Not sure if I want to take the crows out or leave em in, or where I even want to put this. But im glad I got it. Gonna get one for a friend next.
