This stuff is awesome. My so works as a vet tech and said this is what they use at their clinic. My dogs hate getting their nails trimmed. This stuff stops any quick bleeding quickly sealing the wound. It’s a great value for the money. Package size is adequate for the price.

My dog broke her claw really bad, and nothing else would stop the bleeding. Getting her to lay down to let me apply this was the most difficult part. Works as advertised.

Updated review after using the product a few times:I trim my dogs nails at home and have occasionally cut the nail back too far and cut into the quick. Thankfully I have only had to use this product a few times, but it stopped the nail bleeding within seconds. This product stops the bleeding much faster than just holding pressure which can take up to 10 minutes.Pros: Works immediately. Does not cause pain when applied. Dog does not attempt to lick it off. Easy to use and only requires a tiny amount so the container will last a long time. Not messy. (I have a wet Q-tip on hand and dip it into the powder when needed).Cons: To date, I have not noted any cons other than my own process. I place the container at my side, with the lid off, while trimming my dogs nails so if I need to apply some it is readily available. Using this process I have bumped the container and knocked it over spilling some of the contents. However, I do recommend having the product in arms reach as you are trimming nails so you can apply immediately and reduce the amount of bleeding.

This is great, referred by our vet. Gracie, our Yorkie, hates getting her black toenails clipped, so our vet does it Gracie wont sit still for groomer either. She suggested we getthis brand, kee66p on hand just incase. She uses it at her clinic. ,should we nip too close.Well wrapped, nice to have around just in case. Nice people to do business with too.

I needed to buy exactly what our veterinarian uses to stop bleeding that results from cutting dog and cat nails to short (hitting a vein). Kwik-Stop Styptic Powder is fantastic, although I would recommend that anyone using this product consults their vet, groomer, or pretty much any farmer before using it. I am able to follow the directions on the container when I trim our cats nails, but our vet gave me slightly different directions when using it on my dog. The price was more then fair, as was shipping, and it arrived super fast!!! I'll be ordering this product from this seller again for sure!

This powder works great on my dogs nails to stop the bleeding, (if and when I occasionally get a little too close) when trimming her nails. It also works great when I cut myself while shaving. In both cases, it stops the bleeding instantly. I'm sure it would work well on cat's nails and bird's beaks also. I used to get this powder from my vet (several years ago) and it was $10.00 for a 14 gram bottle. I just purchased this 42 gram bottle (3 times the size) for $14.95. Its last me for several years and maintains its powder form. I've bought other products from local stores and it didn't work at all and quickly turned into a rock formation in the container. I only gave it four stars on the comfort, cause it does sting very briefly when applied. I highly recommended this product for any one who trims their own pets nails. Two thumbs up!

The product I received was a different brand completely but that’s the only complaint

With the pandemic and everyone afraid ro bring their pets in nto public spaces...I have learned to cut my pups (9 and 10yrs old) nails. They HATE this! If one one nail, I cut too short...this product stops bleeding almost immediately! It's an coagulant (which makes blood clot quickly). I have had NO ISSUE with using this product! It works SOOOOO quickly and dogs do not seem to mind it. I suspect this is the same product they use at professional groomers. Could not be happier with it! Dealing with a German Shepherd (110lbs) and a Boxer (85lbs)... could not be happier, esp since they have had their naIls cut at the vet's office since thwy were puppies. Don't need to use much- so it is long lasting! Definitely worth the purchase.
