Rusty upon arrival, black part is just a loose sleeve that covers up the rusty part.

The problem with these bumper struts is that the adjustments is hard and the nuts on the adjusting screws are not locking nuts. They will loosen in time. That has been my problem. It's not just these particular ones but these style. I tried buying locking nuts at Lowes and Home Depot but the screw thread on the adjusting screw was not available at these stores. Since I don't know the screw thread measurement I am at a lost to where I can procure some locking nuts. Best of luck to you if you buy these style struts.

Worked as intended- no problem with tightening and securing. This was originally silver colour. But I decided to wrap it with carbon finer wrap.Great product for the price.
