Installation steps - (Wear gloves to keep bulb hygienic). If the installation is abnormal, Araca will provide you with installation guidance.
How to extend the life of the projector bulb
1. After the shutdown, only wait for the fan to stop before disconnecting the power.
2. After turning off the projector, wait at least 60 minutes to reboot.
3. Do not disconnect the power directly during use.
4. No more than 4 hours each use time.
5. Make sure there are no obstacles around the projector to allow the projector to dissipating heat normally.
6. Regularly clean the dust inside the projector and the bulb, otherwise the elevated temperature will cause the projector shut down automatically to protect it.

This was a perfect solution for my projector. Worked great. Installation was a bit of a chore, but that's not the problem of the bulb itself. All in all, I'd purchase one again if I ever needed to.

I purchased this bulb from this seller to avoid the insane cost of ordering directly from BenQ. The bulb swap was easy and I noticed a distinct difference in the picture quality after the bulb change. Now let's see how many hours I'll get out of it.

I purchased this replacement lamp for my BenQ HT2050a projector as the original lamp was nearing the end of its lifespan at around 4500 hours, causing the image to become noticeably dimmer. Initially, I was skeptical due to the much lower price compared to the OEM replacement, which was over twice the price.The installation was straightforward, and to my surprise, the new lamp provides a much brighter and clearer image. The improvement is especially noticeable, perhaps because my old lamp had significantly dimmed. I’ve now used this lamp for over 500 hours, and it continues to illuminate my 120" screen as brightly as when I first installed it.Great value and durable replacement. Highly recommend for BenQ HT2050a owners looking to replace their projector lamp without breaking the bank.

This fully assembled lamp module cost less than bare Osram bulbs from other suppliers. Araca provides a quality fully-assembled lamp module, comprehensive written instructions, an extended warranty card, and even a white cotton glove to facilitate a fingerprint-free installation. My good old BenQ W1070 projector is back to its full brightness. I would recommend this lamp module to anyone with a 1070 or 1080 series BenQ projector.

I put this in my cart in November 2023, but decided to sleep on it before purchasing. The next day, the price had gone down to less than $90 as a Black Friday deal, so I decided to go for it. The bulb made an immediate improvement to the image quality and brightness, and it continues to perform well, one year later. I use the projector nightly, and at 1200 hours, it's still looking great. At this point, I have gotten my money's worth, and I would buy another one without hesitation.

To follow up a previous review that I posted the other day (and I never write reviews). My lamp lasted 30 hours. I have now sent 3 emails to this manufacturer and even talked with Amazon. Since it's past the 30 day Amazon warranty, they told me there is nothing they can do, which I totally understand. It has been a week and still no response from this manufacturer. I let the representative at Amazon know that this is looking like a scam and they just said thank you for letting us know. I can deal with a damaged product...it happens, but to not get any response for a 200 day warranty, nor any help on Amazon's end is ridiculous. To have to eat $95 is quite absurd. I implore anyone to not buy anything from this manufacturer.

Used these twice now. Last one lasted a couple thousand hours and more with minimal degradation. Replaced it just in case, as had a bulb blow on me years ago and got lucky the projector wasn’t damaged. This one seems the same as the last one. Great quality. Sharp and bright. Assume it’ll have same lasting power, but only at around 400 hours so far.

I was befuddled because I installed this replacement bulb, and the picture came up very dim with one slightly brighter spot at the top of the screen and a large blue-tinted splotch in the middle. After taking it back out, I noticed that there was a heat mark on the plate that interfaces the bulb into the optics--and this heat mark showed a circle, where the hole where the optics go was right on the corner edge of that circle. I deduced that the bulb was okay, but I was only seeing the outer edge of its light pattern through the projector.Discovered after comparing the replacement bulb with the OEM bulb, that the entire bulb was around 30 degrees crooked inside its heat-sink housing. There are apparently a couple of clips there that hold the bulb flush to the housing and it had come out of one of them on one side. After snapping that back into place and reinstalling, picture was very bright and clear.Installation: Two screws with catchments to remove the projector cover piece, and then a single mounting screw to install the bulb and heat sink housing. Very easy. Package also came with a Philip's screwdriver and a cotton glove to avoid scratching any optics.Picture: As good as I remember the OEM bulb being at the start of its life. Definitely brighter than the OEM bulb at the end of its life that it replaced.Reliability: I'm still in the first hour of operation, so we shall see.

Lamp blew on my Benq W1070 last night. Found this one and ordered it overnight and to my surprise it showed up the next day. The Amazon envelope was pretty trashed but the box looked pretty intact. First off the terminal was incorrect for the Projector Socket as seen in the photo. I took the terminal off of the original Lamp housing and plugged her in. Lamp did not turn on. Removed the lamp and tested it for continuity with a Volt Meter and got Zero Resistance indicating a Blown lamp. I'll give the supplier the benefit of the doubt and hope they will pull through with another lamp. Why this was sent in an envelope is beyond me when far smaller less fragile items are sent in a huge box. Big Disappointment!

First the good, the bulb was very easy to install and posed no problems in operation; while it lasted this bulb provided a beautiful and bright image. Unfortunately the bad which ruined everything before it, the bulb didn't even last 5 months. Bought at end of June installed in August and died on Thanksgiving day. Same usage level as original bulb which lasted years.
