I had to replace the pump that fed from my RO system up to my refrigerator as it sprung a leak. I did notice that the water surged/pulsated (hammered) with the pump when getting water from the refrigerator and when filling the ice maker - and the pulsing was super noisy. After reading up on how dampeners work - I ordered this device and added it in-line after the pump. All I can say is... What a difference!! This took out all of the pulsation and stress the pump was putting on my icemaker and was probably the best purchase I've made in a long time.If you are running a booster pump - be sure to add one of these so your pump and refrigerator isn't taking additional stress. Super glad I picked this up!

I use this on a Reverse Osmosis system that feeds 4 outlets (3 of which are ice makers after installing a booster pump.. The pressure and flow are fantastic compared to what we had before. The system is in basement and supplies water up to 50’ away, so this solved flow variation issues, and ice makers fill smooth and consistent with the regulator and booster pump. Simply so much much more consistent, quicker and smoother flow. A must have with reverse osmosis and a booster pump.

I bought this accumulator to fix a problem I was having with my Fisher Paykel Refrigerator Ice Maker. The ice maker water feed line was being feed from a demand delivery pump that also was feeding my RO system faucet. The demand delivery pump had been added to increase the pressure/flow from the RO system storage tank. Before I added this accumulator to the water line feeding the ice maker the ice maker solenoid valve would chatter, and the demand delivery pump would turn on/off repeatedly. Now the ice maker works perfectly! Only issue with this accumulator is that you never know where the internal bladder of the device is at? Ideally, the accumulator would have some sort of indicator to allow you to determine how where the bladder is located, or it would be molded using a clear plastic so that you could see inside.

We have our RO/DI system sending water to our fridge about 15 feet away. Because of the distance and required pressure to make ice, we had to install a demand pump that kicks on when the fridge opens its valves and gets water from the RO tank. The only problem is that in a closed system, that triggers the pump to go on/off/on/off/on/off rapidly, until it gets all the water its needing for the moment. We put this little tank inline between the pump and the fridge, and it perfectly provides pressure at 60psi to the pump so that the pump doesn't rapidly alternate between off/on during use AND, it lessens any hammering in the waterline. The mount is a little confusing, and can tear easily, but the quality of the tank is high. We even added a little air via the standard valve at the bottom, to get it to the pressure we needed for our system. It is non-directional, meaning either port can be your in or your out. It also mounts horizontally, vertically, or upside down.Truly plug and play.

Works great as a pulse dampening tank! Installed it near my fridge after my booster/delivery pump which is located in my basement. Tank allows pump to build consistent pressure and doesn’t cause the pump to surge (turn off and on.)A simpler/cheaper fix would’ve been to have a large reverse osmosis tank in my upstairs area but there was no space for a large tank. I was able to fit this tank between my cabinet and wall.
