I have one for each of my aquariums, a 50 and a 75. They seem accurate when compared to a standard drop in thermometer. Only have to charge about once every 6 months or so.

Wanted to buy thus for ease of use reading temp for axolotl. The temp is reading 6°f higher than a mercury thermometer.

This item did not work at all. I set it to Fahrenheit, placed it on the aquarium glass and it read 4.5 degrees too high. It also never changed by a tenth of a degree higher or lower. I checked the temperature with an aquarium in glass thermometer.

So my son bought one of these for each of our 3 fish tanks. I have only a 9 gallon tank. The thermometer “permanently” attaches to your tank. It is very large and a huge eye sore. It is not movable and doesn’t attach with Velcro or something where you can take the thermometer off. So if you wanted to place it in the back of your tank so it would not be such an eyesore, unless you have full access to the back of your tank (I don’t as mine sits against a wall), then you can not take the thermometer off to read it. It come with an extremely short charge cord, so again, since you can not remove the thermometer from the tank, unless you have a long extension cord that will go to your tank, or you have your own longer charge cord, the one provided is useless. The thermometer did work well. The display is large and bright. It was accurate, but definitely not a good choice if you have a smaller tank where this will definitely obstruct your view of your beautiful tank. (I have a fluval tank that has a retention wall that holds the filter and pump, and is sitting against a wall, so placing the thermometer in the back was not an option for me)
