I used and compared this watch with the i200C. i330R failed in most categories.First visibility is poor above and below the surface. I was at 80' under and still struggled to see the display. It maybe the color contrasts idk. Usability is tricky too. It took a bit to get thru the menus for settings. Another annoyance was the time display. The I200C has a Time mode and Dive mode. The i330R is always in dive display, and you have to push buttons to see the time..

Got the i330r as my first dive computer. Love AquaLung products. What I’m pissed off about, is I got a used product. It’s showing 8 dives, and 4:40 minutes of bottom time in it’s stored history. Shame on you Lancaster Scuba. At least now I know who I will never buy from again.

I really enjoyed it. Easy to use, super useful during dives and the phone app is great, providing the details of your dive. Totally recommended

(Edit) Aug 30th, 2021. I got an email about these dive computers today and they have been recalled. I'll copy and paste what the email says below."Aqualung recently introduced the i330R Dive Computer on June 15th, 2021.Aqualung Group has become aware that in rare cases the internal o-ring case seal may drift, which could allow moisture to enter theinstrument while in use. This may result in the product malfunctioning, presenting an unreliable experience to the user. As quality of our products is our priority, Aqualung Group has decided to halt shipments and issue a voluntary return notice. Consumers andDealer are advised to discontinue use of the product and return the unit(s) to Aqualung for quality inspection and servicing. This service and all associated shipping expenses are provided free of charge.Instructions:• Consumers who have purchased the i330R may return their instrument by contacting customer service at Consumersupport@aqualung.com or return their unit to their nearest dealer.• Dealers who have purchased the i330R may return their units by contacting Client Services at warranty@aqualung.com.• Dealers who have sold the i330R to consumers are asked to contact these customers to return their i330R to the store. Please contact Aqualung Customer Service or your local Sales Manager with additional questions. My original review of this dive computer is below, don't buy this dive computer until the recall is completed and they are fixed.-----------------I'm a very newbie Scuba diver that sticks to no decompression dives of course and I wanted to buy a dive computer before I went to Cozumel, Mexico for a week. I didn't want to drop a ton of money on something I wouldn't use often but I wanted something that was easy to use and reliable. I narrowed my search down to this Aqualung i330r for $359 or a Shearwater Peregrine for $495, they used to be $450 a few months ago but got bumped in price recently. Ended up going with the i330r primarily because of price.I took the watch to my local dive shop here in Colorado Springs that has a 15ft pool and wanted to try it out before my trip. I noticed the altitude setting on my watch always read sea level even though I'm at 6,000ft elevation here. I took it in the pool to the very bottom and at 15ft it just read "surface" and never kicked into the actual dive mode. I'm not sure how sensitive dive computers should be and if this normal but it seems like at 15ft it should have read that but whatever. Anyways, I took it to Cozumel and I also rented a dive computer from the operation I dove with (Scuba Tony - look them up if you go to Cozumel great dive operation) so I could compare the two and once I was down 20ft to 70ft the i330r was reading properly and showing the same info as the rented dive computer I had on.The color screen was easy to read and the operation of this watch is super easy with just 2 buttons. I used it with regular air and also 32% Nitrox, changing the Nitrox setting is super easy on it. I read the entire user manual and downloaded the DiverLog+ app onto my Android phone, app is free and allows you to change settings for the watch right from your phone and sync all your dives to your phone as well. I tried it all and worked good. It is definitely faster changing your watch settings using the app on your phone then doing it through the watch itself. I did 8 dives in Cozumel and never had to recharge the watch. It had about 50% or so battery life left after all the dives were done. Recharging the battery is easy with included cable, it snaps onto back of watch and charges it.Also, once you reach the 15ft mark while ascending it will start the 3 minute safety stop on your screen which is convenient. It's a solid beginner dive computer for the price, no major complaints as far as the operation goes. When I looked at what you get for $359 or lower from competitor dive computers, this blew them away. Even though I liked this dive computer, I still returned it to get my money back after I got back from my trip. There's another Amazon reviewer that mentioned something about a recall with these units leaking? I couldn't find any info on a recall for this model online so not sure how true that is but still concerning. I tried to contact Aqualung to ask some questions but that was difficult so I gave up on that. Seems like with Covid no one picks up the phone at these companies now, maybe all short staffed or something. Anyways, the biggest reason I returned this dive computer is there is no haptic/vibration for warnings or anything. From what I read, no vibration settings are standard for dive computers and they usually just do audible beeps. Well when you're diving with a large crowd and everyone's dive computer is beeping it's hard to know if it's yours or not. The Shearwater Peregrine does vibration/haptic feedback and is made by a Canadian company that has excellent customer service as well. So when I go diving again in the future I'll buy a Shearwater Peregrine and see how it performs.
