Testing seemed overwhelming, but it ended up being easier to use than I expected and the simplicity of the test kit and set up/checking for results makes it more likely that I can test water quality with more regularity. You don't have to do anything difficult, literally just fill the little tubes with water and wait and if you need to test different water sources you have enough here to do a couple of them.

Just fill the little vial up with water and let it sit for 48 hours. Yellow is good, green indicates a problem. You get two tests per kit.

This is one of the most sensitive bacterial test kits I've used. I tested my tap water and placed the vial at the top rear of the refrigerator. The air temperature started at 87°F in the afternoon and dropped to 81°F by the evening. In just 8 hours, the water showed a hint of green. (I have a Bluetooth thermometer that logs the air temperature every minute.) After 24 hours, the color had definitively turned green.If the water remains yellow after three days, swab in some bacteria from the garbage disposal or sink drainage, and let it sit for two days. If the vial turns green, then you know the test is working.

I got these to test well water in a rural area. This is very easy to use. It tests for the presence of coliform and ecoli. Just fill vials with water, wait, then you seen results based on the color of the water. simple as that. Tested against more robust testing on a high end lab, this is surprisingly accurate considering the super low cost. This reminds me of going to the beach to do water testing when I was a kid.

I ordered a few water test kits from Amazon - this was one of them. I used this to test my brand new well water. This kit was very easy to use and provided the exact same results as the other water tests I ran.

I have well water and its always a good idea to keep an eye on the water as conditions can change. This test for Coliform could not be easier. You have two Vials that you fill to the 5 mil line and shake for 20 seconds and then you check on them 48 hrs later. If its yellow then the test is not detecting Coliform, but if its green you prob want to have your water professionally tested to see whats going on. I wanted a control so I took a sample from a RO/UV system and then one direct from my tap. I am happy to report that both tests came back negative for Coliform. The expiration date on the test I received was 2027 and I got this kit in 2024.
