Why on earth would a ONE person ever need NINE laundry hampers? It's a little embarrassing, but I'll admit it: I've given up on dressers. After years of cramming dresser drawers full to bursting, and then grabbing most of my clothes out of the hamper of clean laundry anyway, I've decided to embrace the chaos and just sort all the clothes that would have gone into the dresser into a color-coded set of hampers in the closet. You know what? This is the good life. It is freaking fantastic. It is SO MUCH EASIER to find and grab whatever I want to wear. And nine hampers provides a lot more ability to sort things into types than three dresser drawers! So it may look a bit messy, but it's actually much more organized! Down with dressers! Up with hampers! Hampers forever!As for these particular hampers, they are perfectly ordinary and satisfactory exemplars of the type. The only thing I wish was different was the colors: the dark blue and black are so similar, it's not easy to distinguish between them at a glance. If the blue were lighter or more vivid, my color coding system would work even better. But this is a minor quibble that does not impact their functionality.

Finally got the family laundry off of the floor and sorted out. Each one holds a loosely packed load of organized laundry. Got some little labels to use with them so the colors get sorted out when the fam brings their dirty laundry out :>)

The good news is that when not in use, they are totally flat and easy to store. They hold a full load comfortably. The configuration when in use is: Tall or Wide. Each is slender. Moving them when full can be tricky because they are not made for a lot of movement. They are strong enough if you fill them where you expect them to stay. Otherwise, take care when moving because the support ribs bend. (They do not break, just bend.) Anything with sharp edges needs to find another storage type as the netting is not strong. These ARE perfect for storing clothing and other soft items. I am using them to hold clothing and stuffed animals that will be donated.

I brought these for when we go on vacation so everyone has there own lanudry basket... they are lightweight, sturdy. And the function great with teens and young kids. They definitely hold alot too.

I use these hampers opened to block my cat from getting behind the bookcase and the washing machine. I use them flat to block him from scratching at an indoor screen on the window. This is a wonderful product that has more uses than the obvious one of moving laundry or other items from one place to another spot. Well made and durable - they are well worth the money.
