I bought this because I was replacing the transmission filter and gasket on my 07 Ram 2500 48re transmission. I always replace the transmission oil pan when I replace the filter for the first time because they can get distorted from over torquing the bolts from previous owners AB’s then they leak. I purchased this pan because of the name, reviews and drain plug. I’m sure glad I did the oil pan was definitely distorted on the sealing surface. Adjusted the bands and then I took it to my local oil change garage and had the transmission flushed. No leaks! I’m happy with this purchase

Seems to be good quality. Replaced my stock transmission pan on my 98 Ram 1500 this past weekend, no complaints.

Bought this for 2000 Dodge Ram. Well made, painted nicely. Made of heavy gauge steel.

This pan works good on a 97 Dodge B2500 318 with the 46RE.One issue was the hole in the original magnet was two small to fit over the nut that the drain plug threads into. I was lucky that I had a slighty larger magnet from an old CB antenna that fit perfect. Might want to order a magnet with the pan.Second issue was the transmission dipstick bottomed out on the drain plug or nut giving a false reading. But the dipstick was plenty long enough to cut about a ½ inch off without interferring with the fluid level markings on the dipstick.Neither issue was that big of a problem to overcome compared to dropping the pan full of fluid which is a real pain. All in all I'm glad to have it. Quality is good, slightly heavier guage steel that the original. Bolt hole are spot on.

Use this pan and an inexpensive pick up extension and save a ton of money over an aftermarket deep pan kit.

It went on fine but as others have noted, the drain plug is held by a nut on the inside of the pan.The nut is large (about 7/16 tall), so that much fluid will not drain from the pan. More concerning, the nut was not welded on. Epoxied maybe? If it breaks loose while removing the plug then I'm back to having to drop the pan the old way.Time will tell, but for the price point it was worth a shot. No gasket with the pan.It installed with no leaks using the gasket from the solenoid kit.
