My jeep still had the original fan clutch which didn't keep up with the ac being on hot days. This keeps it really cool but never unlocks even when the jeep is cold. It's robbing alot of power and mpg. I thought it would maybe "break in" but still hasn't changed. Idk if these are designed to be "heavy duty" but it's not what I want

Over all I'm happy with it I can't give it 5 stars because it makes a strange sound ( not the belt) at first caused me to panic a little because it sounded like metal on metal grinding whining sound but once I popped the hood it was very obvious what was causing the sound I will keep an eye on it and update if it fails

Was having problems with vehicle heating up during idle even in cold weather. Replaced clutch fan with this and problem was solved. Electric fan is for AC and when it gets way too hot. This keeps temp.modeeate

Overall, this solved my overheating issue on my 1996 jeep Cherokee. Replaced everything else including the radiator with 3 electric fans. After removing the electric fans and replacing the clutch fan with this one, never gets above 200°. Only reason for 4 stars is the whining noise (no, it's not the belt squeaking) - when revved this thing makes a big pitched whining sound, like it may not have been properly lined when manufactured. Only time will tell how long it will last with that noise.
