Worked great to replace the broken switch on my 2014 Crosstrek. Prior to this I kept seeing a flickering truck sensor after the original button had started to crumple and break off. Watched a Youtube video for installation instructions and got it switched within 10 minutes.

If you have access to YouTube, this is a very easy thing to change out. Seems a little intimidating but it literally took me 15-20 minutes. And the best thing is it works perfectly! Cord was same length as original so no having to try and stretch or reroute to make fit. I highly recommend saving all the money rather than take to dealer so they can charge you some crazy price for the OEM part and then try and tell you it took two or three hours of labor.

Fitted onto my 2015 crosstrek, about a 10 minute install. Works like a charm.

I thought maybe the motor was bad, the fob was broken or whatever but I changed this and both my fob and the switch work from outside now. Not hard to fix, spent about 20 minutes on trying to get it replaced. Much easier and more convenient than crawling thru trunk to use the failsafe manual. Very impressed with this product.

The wiring harness does not fit a subaru outback as-is. The trunk button is part of a bundle of wires that run back to a much larger wiring harness. However , you can cut the wire and splice it onto the existing wires without too much trouble. It's a shame it's so expensive, but I can say it works! No more sticky rubber goo and the button works much better than the one I replaced.
