The Original part was a metal base with rubber covering. This replacement part is made of hard plastic. The adhesive strip on the edge was misaligned and had come loose at numerous places and continually disengaged from the part several times . The curve at bottom did not match the car and so there is a 1/4 inch gap even after several attempts to readjust the alignment.
